Flann O'Brien was born on 5 October 1911 in Strabane, County Tyrone, Ireland. He was a writer, known for At Swim-Two-Birds, In schwimmen-zwei-vögel (1997) and Th' Oul Lad of Kilsalaher (1965). He was previously married to Evelyn McDonnell. He died on 1 April 1966 in Dublin, Ireland.
