Australian-born child actor from the age of two. His mother was a theatrical actress, singer and elocution teacher. He shared the stage with her in "The Trojan Women" at the age of seven. In the 1940's, Nettheim worked as a director and writer for radio drama. He also helped establish several important theatrical companies, before his move to the U.K. in 1956.
