With reports of a Horrible Histories feature film in development, we salute the genius songs of a magnificent show...
Ah, Horrible Histories. The show that brings all the slapstick humour and wordplay of Blackadder and Monty Python to a young audience. It’s a rare and marvellously British televisual feast (points for citing the reference, there): a bunch of hugely talented actors charging around in historical outfits, singing songs and starring in genius pop culture-inspired spoofs to deliver the darker side of history to school children.

Contrary to a snarky online list, Kate Nash exists — and she’s ticked off! On Tuesday, Buzzfeed posted one of its trademark lists, this one titled “33 Singers That Only Exist in the Memories of British Millennials,” with Nash, 30, among the once-popular artists (according to Buzzfeed) whose popularity has eroded in recent years. Nash, whose […]...

A letter initiated by British singer/songwriter Kate Nash and signed by more than 100 musicians was sent to President Obama Saturday in support of the Dakota Pipeline protesters and the call to end its construction. In addition to Nash, among those who signed it were Alicia Keys, Annie Lennox, Sia, Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day, Nick Mason of Pink Floyd and Moby. The proposed pipeline has drawn criticism, particularly from the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, who maintain that the project would destroy sites that are sacred to the tribe. “Divergent” actress Shailene Woodley was arrested while protesting the Access Pipeline in.

British singer Kate Nash is "indulgent" and "needs to learn some manners" - according to her former producer Paul Epworth.
Epworth, who worked with the 20-year-old on her debut album Made Of Bricks, insists he won't collaborate with the star again as a result.
He says, "No I won't be. She needs to learn some manners. I would have taken her first album in a less of a childish direction.
"But the tracks I was heavily involved in - Foundations and Pumpkin Soup - I felt were the basis of a great album but I'm not sure where she goes from here."
"The stuff I've heard is the work of an indulged artist, to say the least. So I wish her luck but I won't be involved."...

British soul sensation Adele is getting set to break America - after signing an exclusive deal with Columbia Records to release her debut album 19 stateside.
The Brit Award winner - who scooped an award at this year's ceremony for the artist "most likely to make it big in 2008" - will release her Lp in America this summer.
The 19-year-old has enjoyed huge success in the U.K. after her debut album went straight to the top of the charts in January, following her first single Chasing Pavements which peaked at the number two spot.
The singer - who was a student at U.K.'s Brit school for performing arts alongside singing stars Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen and Kate Nash - is currently completing a short tour in the U.S.
A representative from the singer's U.K. label Xl Recordings says, ""She wants to work it properly, and put in time there. People are really excited about her over there."...

The organisers of next month's Coachella Festival have slammed reports Prince will be performing in a tent.
The Los Angeles Times newspaper reported the news that Prince would be part of Coachella overnight (18/19Mar08), but festival bosses insist that's not the case.
Brandon K. Phillips, the Ceo of Coachella co-producers Aeg Live, says, "This is absolutely not true. Regardless of what the Times was told, there is no commitment from Prince to play Coachella."
Meanwhile, Goldfrapp, Kate Nash, Aphex Twin, Redd Kross and Serj Tankian have been added to the line-up for the three-day event, and indie band New Young Pony Club have pulled out of the festival.
In a post on their website, the band writes, "We're very sad to have to announce that we won't be playing Coachella this year. It was a really hard decision to make but essentially we felt it's impossible for us to come this year."...

British pop star Kate Nash has launched a scathing attack on The X-factor winner Leona Lewis - claiming she deserved to triumph against the singer at last month's Brit Awards because she isn't "manufactured".
The Foundations hitmaker caused an upset after scooping the award for Best British Female at the event - an accolade the Bleeding Love diva was expected to win.
But the 20-year-old feels she earned the award, because she is a genuine artist who has mastered her own path to stardom.
She says, "'Leona seems like a really nice girl. But I think it was really good I won it because I started this myself. I'm not a manufactured, size-zero pop artist who is going to bring out her own perfume and clothes range.
The star also blamed fellow female pop stars for portraying a perfect image to their impressionable fans, insisting some young girls consider suicide due to their unattainable beauty.
She adds, "There are teenage girls who grow up wanting to kill themselves because they can't be as pretty as the girls in the magazines. But I'm quite normal, so it's great."...

British Singer Kate Nash lashed out at music industry bosses at a recent gig - by soaking them with beer.
The Brit award winner was at the South By Southwest music festival in Austin, Texas to watch her rocker boyfriend Ryan Jarman perform with his U.K. band The Cribs.
But when she noticed the audience was mainly made up of industry bosses - she showed her disgust for them by showering the "wankers" in her drink.
She says, "I threw some beer over some of the crowd at The Cribs gig over here the other day.
"I thought it (the gig) was going to be amazing - but I got there and the band were amazing but the crowd were s**t. It was just industry wankers with their clipboards.
"I threw a beer and it went over all of these industry people and they got upset. I was like, 'Have you never had beer thrown over you at a gig before? It's a Cribs gig.' Some of my friends have broken bones at gigs."...

British singer Kate Nash has credited the surgeons who saved her from a life-threatening heart condition with her chart success.
The Brit award winner suffered from a potentially fatal heart condition as a teenager and feared she would never be able to fulfil her dreams of becoming a singer.
And the 20-year-old has thanked the surgeons who operated on her at 18 for giving her the inspiration to pursue her career ambitions.
She says, "The doctors gave me the option of having (my heart) fixed but there were risks.
"I'm quite a driven person but (the operation) really pushed me."...

Soul newcomer Adele wants to form a pop supergroup - with her former schoolmates Amy Winehouse, Katie Melua, Lily Allen and Kate Nash.
The 19-year-old Brit is convinced the quintet, who are all graduates of the U.K.'s Brit school for performing arts - could conquer the music industry as one.
She says, "Amy, Katie, Lily, Kate and me all come from the same school. If we were in a band I think it would be the best band ever.
"We're not afraid to speak out minds. I think everyone is entitled to an opinion whether it is good or horrible."
And the singer insists the all-girl group would win over a multitude of female fans because real women could relate to them: "All of us represent most women in the world.
You don't need to be a doll with tanned legs, blonde hair, big boobs and good lips. I really don't think you have to be like that any more."...
