Born Carlos Muñoz Arosa in Vigo, Spain on April 3, 1919. His career began to dawn after the Spanish Civil War. Making his stage debut in 1936, appearing on plays such as "Las Ranas" and "El Testamento." At which time he was involved in numerous warlike and patriotic films, fashionable at the time.
