Claire Mundell is a BAFTA and RTS award-winning film and television producer and Founder / Creative Director of her own production company, Synchronicity Films.
Claire is the Executive Producer, and also one of the producers, of the Sky and Peacock Original Limited Series, 'The Tattooist of Auschwitz', starring Jonah Hauer King, Emmy-winning Melanie Lynskey, Anna Prochniak, Jonas Nay and Academy Award nominee, Harvey Keitel. The series features an original score written by Academy Award-winning Hans Zimmer and Kara Talve and an original song sung by Barbra Streisand and written by Hans Zimmer, Kara Talve and Walter Afanasieff, with lyrics by Charlie Midnight. The series is based on the global phenomenon and Sunday Times and New York Times bestseller by Heather Morris.
Claire was the Executive Producer of the BAFTA-winning BBC and ABC psychological thriller, 'The Cry', starring Jenna Coleman, Ewen Leslie, Asher Keddy and Stella Gonet, based on the novel by Helen FitzGerald.
Claire produced Karen Gillan's 2018 directorial debut, 'The Party's Just Beginning, and co-produced Harry Wootliff's 'Only You' starring Laia Costa and Josh O'Connor.
In 2013 Claire produced the film 'Not Another Happy Ending', starring Karen Gillan in her first leading feature role. The film was written by David Solomons, directed by John McKay S and was the Closing Film of the 2013 Edinburgh International Film Festival. As well as many other international festivals, the film also played the 2013 Busan International Film Festival.
In 2011, Claire co-produced the double BIFA-winning, 'Weekend', written and directed by Andrew Haigh, and in 2009 produced the BAFTA Scotland winning, 'Crying With Laughter', written and directed by Justin Molotnikov.
Claire has extensive experience in network television having developed prime-time television drama as an executive producer for the BBC for many years before launching Synchronicity.
Prior to launching her scripted career, Claire was in senior management at the BBC, and Head of CBBC Scotland, originating, producing and exec-producing various TV shows over ten years, including Shoebox Zoo, the BAFTA and RTS-winning 26-part live-action CGI fantasy family series and UK Canada co-production starring Peter Mullan.
In addition to her producer role, Claire consults widely for film and TV organizations and the Scottish representative on PACT Council.
