Maurice Moscovitch was born on November 23, 1871 in Odessa, Kherson Governorate, Russian Empire as Morris Maaskov. He was an actor, known for The Great Dictator (1940), Make Way for Tomorrow (1937) and Love Affair (1939). He died on June 18, 1940 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Father of actor Noel Madison.
Died just days after shooting began on the movie Dance, Girl, Dance (1940). His role of the temperamental dance maestro had to be quickly rewritten for actress Maria Ouspenskaya.
Maurice Moscovitch is buried with his wife, Rose, at Beth Olam Cemetery in Hollywood, California.
Veteran of New York's Yiddish theatre, this putty-faced character actor enjoyed four years in Hollywood, where he appeared in 14 films from 1936 through the year of his death.
