‘Chicago P.D.’ Star Amy Morton To Stage All-Female ‘Glengarry Glen Ross’ On Broadway
An all-female cast will hit Broadway in David Mamet’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play Glengarry Glen Ross next year under the direction of Chicago P.D. actress Amy Morton.

The new production will begin performances in May 2019, with cast, design team, a venue and exact dates to be announced. The producing team is headed by Jeffrey Richards, Will Trice, Rebecca Gold and Steve Traxler.

Morton, Tony-nominated as an actress for her Broadway performances in August: Osage County and Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, will make her Broadway directing debut with Glengarry. An ensemble member of Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theatre Company, she directed Guards at the Taj for off-Broadway’s Atlantic Theater Company in 2015, and has a lengthy roster of directing credits for Steppenwolf including a 2001 production of Glengarry that featured a traditional male cast.

Former The Brave star Anne Heche is returning to NBC for a guest arc on the upcoming sixth season of Chicago P.D.

Heche will play Dep. Superintendent Katherine Brennan, who is smart, to the point and political, but often self-serving. A cunning and formidable opponent, she always keeps her wits about her.

Chicago P.D. centers on the men and women of the Chicago Police Department’s elite Intelligence Unit, combatting the city’s most heinous offenses – organized crime, drug trafficking, high-profile murders and beyond. “Chicago Pd,” “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago Med,” and “Law & Order: Svu” have been renewed at NBC.

“Chicago Pd” follows the men and women of the Chicago Police Department’s Intelligence Unit, who are tasked with combating organized crime, drug trafficking, high-profile murders, and more. It stars Jason Beghe, Jon Seda, Jesse Lee Soffer, Patrick John Flueger, Marina Squerciati, Elias Koteas, Laroyce Hawkins, Amy Morton, and Tracy Spiridakos.

The second of Dick Wolf’s “Chicago” shows to premiere, “Chicago Pd” has averaged a solid 1.2 rating in adults 18-49 and 6.4 million viewers in its fifth season.

Wolf executive produces along with Rick Eid, Peter Jankowski, Derek Haas, Arthur Forney, and Terry Miller. The series is produced by Wolf Entertainment in association with Universal Television.

‘Law & Order: Svu’ Gets Season 20 Pickup To Tie Record, Dick Wolf’s Three ‘Chicago’ Series Also Renewed By NBC
NBC has renewed all four of its Dick Wolf series. That includes Law & Order: Svu, picked up for a 20th season, tying the record for longest-running drama series, held jointly by Law & Order and Gunsmoke. The network also has renweed all three Windy City-set drama series for next season: Chicago Fire will return for Season 7, Chicago P.D. for Season 6 and Chicago Med for Season 4.

The previous NBC regime denied Wolf the opportunity to beat Gunsmoke‘s record by canceling the mothership Law & Order series after Season 20. With Law & Order: Svu still doing well in its 19th season and Wolf’s career contributions to NBC, he got a shot at making history.

This season, Svu is tied with another Wolf show, Chicago P.D., as NBC’s second-highest-rated drama series behind This Is Us, averaging a 2.2 adults 18-49 most current rating. The other two Chicago shows, Chicago Fire and Chicago Med,

Film News: ‘Midwest Shorts’ Screens at Midwest Independent Film Festival on March 6, 2018

Chicago – Short films, in a society increasingly becoming attention challenged, are getting a new lease as an essential film showcase. The Midwest Independent Film Festival will highlight a “Midwest Shorts Program” for their second 2018 event on March 6th. 13 films are part of the line-up, including a World Premiere, a Festival Premiere, Two Chicago Premieres and a 2017 Sundance Film Festival Selection. The World Premiere, “A Tragedy,” also features David Pasquesi (“Veep”) and Tracy Letts (“Lady Bird”) and two “Chicago Pd” TV stars (Marina Squerciati and Amy Morton) highlight the Festival Premiere of “Light.” Pasquesi is also featured in the short “Ten More,” as a concert pianist recovering from a traumatic brain injury. Hey, "The Blacklist" fans. We're sure you're wondering where is the latest episode 9 of your favorite show? Well, it turns out that the previous episode 8 was the show's midseason finale. That means you guys are going to have to wait around for a little while to see the new episode 9. The only details we were able to find out about episode 9 is when it's due to air which is probably the most important detail. It's currently scheduled to air on Wednesday night, January 3,2018 in it's usual 7 pm central time slot on NBC. So, be sure to definitely jot that important date down on your TV calendars. NBC could release a press release for episode 9 any day now. Until then, we don't see any other details in sight for it.
