Other Works

  • Moore recorded dozens of party albums on Kent Records through the 70s and 80s. His debut album, "Eat Out More Often", introduced the character of Dolemite and a liberal use of explicit language (Moore calls them "ghetto expressions".
  • Other albums include "The Streaker", "Sweet Peter Jeeter", The Cockpit" and "Dolemite for President". A recent compilation, "Rudy Ray Moore's Greatest Hits", collects his most famous routines.
  • These albums are often sampled on any number of rap albums; a few of these albums include a guest appearance by Rudy Ray himself. TV commercial for Levi's (c. 1995)
  • Appears in the music video for "Substitute" by the Ramones.
  • Appeared in Snoop Dogg's video "Doggy Dogg World" (1994).
