Before the show ended Sam was surprising Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) and Jason (Steve Burton) while wily Alexis made plans to get her and Sam’s kids out of harm’s way via some one-way tickets. General Hospital Review: An Unexpected Visitor

Friends, I'm immensely relieved to report that, finally, Franco's ordeal is over. Or mostly is, at least.

Following last Friday's cliffhanger, the Franco/Jim Harvey confrontation was resolved within the first two episodes of this week.

As expected, the showdown between Franco and Jim confirmed what we'd all long expected: Jim was a sexual predator, and he'd abused Franco as a kid.

Obviously, this is a heartbreaking and awful reveal. However, I still think the writers dragged it out far past the point of interest. It felt like this story was never going to end after a while.

That said, once it did end, it ended really well.

I mentioned in last week's review that I foresaw Franco killing Harvey, condemning us all to a drawn out murder trial in which Franco would inevitably be let off the hook when the dead man's past crimes were revealed.

Amazingly, we were spared all that.

And The Bear as well as Joey Harris on the popular ‘80s sitcom My Two Dads opposite Paul Reiser. He also starred in the series P.S. Chad Duell Wants to Be on Dancing With The Stars (Exclusive)

Starring as Michael Corinthos on General Hospital isn’t enough for Chad Duell, who admits that he wants to follow in the fancy footsteps of a couple of his castmates and compete on Dancing With The Stars! As a teenager, Duell dreamed of being an actor, although it took an encounter with Tom Cruise to inspire that particular goal — specifically a screening of his 2001 film Vanilla Sky! “After I watched it, the idea of acting came into my head,” he confided to Soaps In Depth. “It sounds funny to say it, but there was something about that movie. Tom Cruise actually did it for me. I liked his passion and raw energy. Something just came over me like, ‘I have to do this!’ It was the weirdest sensation of having what I was supposed to do with the rest of my life rush over me.” Tom Cruise in Vanilla Sky.

When Sam Returns to General Hospital, She Shouldn't Pick Jason or Drew

One of the hottest storylines going on General Hospital right now is the love triangle between Jason, Sam, and Drew. The whole complicated mess got to be too much for Sam in the end and she left Port Charles to get her head together and figure out what she really wants. However, perhaps when she returns, she shouldn’t choose to be with Jason or Drew! Sam was thrilled when she learned that her late husband, Jason Morgan, had returned from the dead. Sure, he had a new face and lacked some of his memories, but they reconnected and built a life together, including having another child, their baby girl, Emily Scout. Jason even got out of the mob life with Sonny and purchased Aurora Media so they could live a safer, more comfortable existence. Unfortunately, all of that came crashing down when Jason came back from the dead — again!

General Hospital Review: Fifty-Five Years of Port Charles

Port Charles celebrated on Friday as General Hospital reached an incredible milestone – 55 years on the air!

While the final episode of the week was undoubtedly the best of the bunch, I'll try my best to be fair and discuss storylines that developed the other four days. Because, y'know, some stuff did happen outside of the nostalgia-filled one-night-only reopening of Luke's.

The Jason/Sam/Drew storyline followed up last week's incredible Dream confrontation with an equally fantastic (though less emotionally wrought) Jasam moment.

I could honestly care less about the actual Jason/Drew confrontation, which managed to make both of the men involved in this love triangle deeply unlikeable.

Can anyone explain why Jason is suddenly vehemently anti-Drew and thankful that Sam was staying away from him?

Laura Wright Reveals the General Hospital Scenes She Submitted to the Daytime Emmys (Exclusive)

This year marks the fifth time that Laura Wright has been nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress at the Daytime Emmy Awards for playing Carly Corinthos on General Hospital (she took home the trophy in 2011), but the feeling of being up for daytime’s greatest honor never gets old! “It feels great,” she confided to Soaps In Depth. “I’m super excited.” The morning of March 21, when the nominations were announced, Wright had already been working and was home by 10 a.m. having breakfast with boyfriend Wes Ramsey (Peter) when Gh executive producer Frank Valentini called with the great news. “It was awesome, and of course Wesley was like, “I gotta go buy champagne!’” she recalled. “I was like, ‘Not yet,’ because Frank called me after 11. So we finished eating and cleaned up the kitchen. He poured me a glass of wine and read me The Fountainhead. We had a full

Fans Worry Kelly Monaco is Leaving General Hospital

It's always one crisis after another for the characters on General Hospital, and once again, Sam has found herself in an impossible situation. Torn between Jason and Drew, the two men that she loves, it's enough to make anyone throw in the towel. In fact, some fans are actually wondering if this could be the end for the character and wondering is Kelly Monaco leaving Gh?! Thankfully, viewers shouldn’t be too concerned about Monaco exiting the role that she has played since 2003. While the actress hasn't always been the most active on social media, during a Twitter Q&A with fans, she declared: “I love playing Sam. Thank you all for your continued support.” Monaco’s first television role was on Baywatch, where she played Susan from 1997-98, and she joined the cast of Gh spinoff Port Charles as Livvie in 1999. When that soap was canceled in 2003, the actress

Donnell Turner Was Caught in a General Hospital Twitter Fan War!

Soap fans are a notoriously passionate group, but some sub-groups can be extra-passionate. For instance, there are some General Hospital viewers who are so devoted to Jason Morgan that they decided to attack actor Donnell Turner online for a conversation his character, Curtis, had with Drew! In the March 26 episode, Curtis found Drew drinking his troubles away on the docks after he left Sam because she confessed she was still in love with Jason. He attempted to reassure his friend that his marriage wasn’t necessarily over, and that Jason could never compare to him. “There is no way that guy can make her happy,” he declared. “I mean, he drags around misery behind him like some kind of security blanket.” He also commented that Jason has the personality of concrete and never cracks a smile. And while this was just Curtis’ way of trying to lift Drew’s spirits,

General Hospital Review: The End Of "Dream?"

Wowza – was the Drew/Sam scene that closed out Friday's episode a killer or what?

The incredibly emotional and wrenching scene was the epitome of what soaps are all about. Everything from the dialogue to the performances was extraordinary. Even if you don't particularly care for "Dream," I'm not sure how you could possibly remain unmoved by their last scenes of the week!

I was totally engrossed as Sam finally confessed the truth to Drew: that she still loves Jason and had even kissed him on New Year's Eve. It was devastating, heartbreaking, and played to perfection by both Kelly Monaco and Billy Miller.

The best soap performances are the ones that are raw and emotionally realistic. Kelly acted her heart out, but not in an over-the-top way. It truly felt as though I were watching a real-life break-up. She looked like she was in such deep pain.

On the other hand,

The Twisted History of General Hospital's Betsy Frank

In the quest for the truth about his past, General Hospital’s Franco tried going to his birth parents, but they were no help. However, his adoptive mother, Betsy Frank, held the answers he sought. If you’re confused about Franco’s family lineage, don’t worry, you’re not alone! And if you’re thinking that Betsy didn't look the same as the first time she appeared on Gh, you’re right, because actress Deborah Strang took over the role! Nurse Elizabeth “Betsy” Frank was introduced in July of 2010 during the highly-publicized run of actor James Franco, who originated the role of the obsessive artist Franco on the soap. The role at the time was played by the actor’s real-life mother, Betsy Franco. The obsessed artist had stolen Lucky and Liz’s son, Aiden, from the hospital and tried to give the baby to her as a way
