One of the Mirisch Brothers, who founded The Mirisch Company, a successful independent motion picture production company.
He graduated from New York City College in 1940 and moved to Milwaukee, where he started the Theater Candy Company with his oldest brother, Irving. Joined brothers Harold and Walter at Monogram in Hollywood in 1952.
Said to have been 'the quietest' of the three Mirisch brothers, he was in charge of coordinating logistics, negotiating the minutiae of business deals and overseeing legal and accounting operations.
