Worked as sound editor in two different films dealing with John Kennedy's assassination: Parkland (2013) and JFK (1991), the latter earned him an Oscar nomination.
Grandson of Audio Pioneer, Darrell Lee Minkler, Son of Emmy-nominated Sound Mixer Don Minkler, Nephew of Oscar-winning Sound Mixer Bob Minkler, Nephew of Oscar-nominated Sound Mixer Lee Minkler and Father of Emmy-winning Sound Mixer Christian P. Minkler.
As of 2017, he has contributed with the sound department of eight films that were nominated for the Best Picture Oscar (not counting The Exorcist (1973) since Minkler's work on that film was provided in the 2000 version only): Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977), Born on the Fourth of July (1989)_, Driving Miss Daisy (1989), The Godfather: Part III (1990), JFK (1991), Chicago (2002), Inglourious Basterds (2009) and Django Unchained (2012).
