Daft Punk's Guy-Manuel writes music for Mike Tyson film

Daft Punk member Guy-Manuel De Homem-Christo has written new music for an upcoming Algerian film.

Thriller Gates of the Sun is directed by French filmmaker Jean-Marc Minéo, and features Mike Tyson among its cast.

De Homem-Christo has written music along with Eric Chedeville, with whom he co-founded the record label Crydamoure.

The pair also released several tracks in the late 1990s and early 2000s under the name Le Knight Club.

Chedeville told French culture magazine Les Inrocks: "Guy-Man has made music in this film. Initially it had to be for a fight scene with Mike Tyson, but now it's the final scene inside a club.

"It should not exceed two minutes, I think. At least 80% of the soundtrack was made by the two composers Matteodo Patrick and Jean-Jacques Ipino."

He added: "And the piece will not be signed 'Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo' but 'Knight Club', the nickname

Tekken’s Jon Foo is Looking for Some Bloody Bangkok Revenge

I always thought that Jon Foo, the star of the live-action “Tekken” movie, had potential to jumpstart a pretty decent martial arts movie career, and was somewhat disappointed when that film didn’t immediately lead to some bigger budgeted productions. But that doesn’t mean he hasn’t been working. Foo is the star of French director Jean-Marc Minéo’s “Bangkok Revenge” (aka “Rebirth”, aka “Bangkok Renaissance”). Yeah, “Bangkok Revenge” definitely sounds more kick ass. Check out a new trailer for the film below. It looks pretty insane. Manit (Jon Foo) witnessed the murder of his parents when he was just 10 years old. The killers shot him in the head, but he miraculously survived. However, the damage to his brain left him unable to experience regular human emotions. A martial arts master saved him and took him in. New Trailer for Bangkok Renaissance Will Break Your Neck. And You’ll Like It.

With so many balls-out crazy action flicks currently on the horizon, it would seem that I’m going to have to devote all of my free cinema time to checking them out. I suppose there are worse problems to have. Director Jean-Marc Minéo’s upcoming martial arts flick “Bangkok Renaissance” (aka “Rebirth”) is yet another fight-oriented endeavor that has recently been added to my ever-growing list of films I need to see this year. And while I’m not overly familiar with star Jon Foo — I’ve seen the movies he’s in, but I wouldn’t know him if I saw him — he definitely seems to know what he’s doing here. Before we continue, please read the following passage: Manit, a boy of ten years witnessed the murder of his parents. Unrelenting, the killers decide to eliminate it. Shot in the head, the child survives miraculously from his injuries,

This being a Fight pic they’ve gone for the old favourites (Ie the ones that guarantee maximum carnage) on the plot front, it’s the old adages of; love, loss and bloody revenge. Bangkok Renaissance opens in France June 13th – Here’s hoping some bright spark picks it up for release nearer to home soon. Trail at the link. Synopsis: Manit, a boy of ten years witnessed the murder of his parents. Unrelenting, the killers decide to eliminate it. Shot in the head, the child survives miraculously from his injuries, but finds himself struck by ataraxia.
