Dave Filoni reveals the Emperor’s objective in Star Wars Rebels

Creator of Star Wars Rebels, Dave Filoni, has discussed what The Emperor was after during his appearance on the show.

Star Wars Rebels has now finished its four season run, delivering its final episode this week. This season contained a number of surprises and must-see moments for fans, with one of these being the appearance of Emperor Palpatine himself, coming after the show’s hero Ezra.

Speaking on the final episode of Rebels Recon, Filoni explained the villain’s intentions. “He tries to play on your perceptions all the time,” said Filoni. “When he’s in the void world and he’s listening to Ezra, he hears Ezra’s wish that his life could be different and that he’d like to see his mom and dad. So he knows the alternate reality that Ezra wishes for.”

And then when appearing in a friendlier guise in the season finale, the

Finishing up with its fourth season, Star Wars Rebels told the story of a small group of Rebels and their fight against the Empire, taking place before the events of A New Hope.

Dave Filoni, the show’s creator, sat down with The Star Wars Show after Rebels made its curtain call, and confirmed to fans that both Ezra and Thrawn survived their wild and climatic jump to hyperspace and why the show ended as it did:

“I felt a lot about that… It’s one of those things that you go ‘oh boy I love the idea of an end credits scenes’ but as tempting as that is but I go ‘well if I cover that, then I want to do it right’ and I don’t want to commit to

Batgirl: who is she, & where will she fit in the Dceu?

Rob Leane Apr 5, 2017

Batgirl is the latest DC hero to be touted for a solo movie, with Joss Whedon at the helm. But who is Batgirl? Let's take a look...

Holy déjà vu, Batman! Only last week I was writing about the announcement that a new member of the Bat-family has been given their own movie among Warner Bros’ already-jam-packed DC Extended Universe slate. Dick Grayson, aka Nightwing, was the chap under discussion then.

Last week, on top of that, the news broke that Joss Whedon is writing, directing and producing a Batgirl movie as part of the Dceu. Warners is clearly serious about expanding out from Ben Affleck’s Batman to tell other stories about cowl-loving caped crusaders.

Here’s everything you need to know about Batgirl, mixed with some possibly-useless fan speculation about casting, villains and more...

Who is Batgirl?

As with most major superheroes, a few different

The cast of the sequel to Deadpool got a major addition this week. Producer/star Ryan Reynolds announced that actress Zazie Beetz will play Domino, mercenary and member of the mutant team X-Force.

Beetz, a German-born actress best known for her recent role on Atlanta, won the role of Domino over nearly a half dozen other actresses. Reportedly also in the running were such high-profile names as Mary Elizabeth Winstead (10 Cloverfield Lane), Lizzy Caplan (Masters of Sex), and Sienna Miller (American Sniper).

The casting of Domino is significant because the character is the partner of Cable, a mutant who will likely play a key role in the Deadpool sequel as well as the upcoming X-Force movie. The role of Cable has not yet been cast.

A teaser for the Deadpool sequel has
