For years and years with the Royal Shakespeare Company, and has played various roles in "Hamlet" at different stages of his career -- from Laertes to Hamlet to, most recently, Claudius, in a 2001 production.
Mild-mannered British leading man of the classical stage, best known on film as the object of Hayley Mills' interest in Walt Disney's The Moon-Spinners (1964).
Studied for the stage with Iris Warren and made his first appearance in a production of Bed, Board and Romance" in 1956.
His film debut, Wild for Kicks (1960), was also that of Adam Faith.
