Jimmy Matlosz is a critically acclaimed, world renowned Cinematographer, Director, Journalist and Screenwriter.
He has lensed Commercials for Nike, United Airlines, Sprint, Chevy, Ford & Adidas, Documentaries Who Killed the Electric Car and Better Living Through Circuitry, Feature films FEAR and Yes Day and award winning short films, Waylaid, Vinyl Child, The Online Date and Oedipus. Jimmy has completed 5 feature length screenplays TIFC is developing his feature script Burden of the Wolf, meanwhile he is Co-writing and developing the award winning (AFF 2021/22) Chang Chang Chaaang a streaming pilot.
As a journalist he has written for Canon, ICG, HDvideo Pro and InCinematographer. Jimmy is the Chairman of The Emerging Cinematographers Awards since 2006, mentoring emerging cinematographers. He is a consultant for various disciplines in cinematography for fellow filmmakers, as well as Arri, Dolby Labs and Panasonic.
Jimmy has been a guest lecturer or instructor at Brooks College, USC, American Film Institute, and Arts Center or Pasadena.
