Don Matheson was born on August 5, 1929 in Dearborn, Michigan, USA. He was an actor, known for Lost in Space (1965), Land of the Giants (1968) and Murph the Surf (1975). He was married to Deanna Lund and Maxine Arnold Franklin. He died on June 29, 2014 in Woodland Hills, California, USA.

One daughter from his marriage with Deanna Lund: actress Michele Matheson.
A Korean war veteran, Matheson won both a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart for his exceptional heroism during his tour of duty.
Before becoming an actor he worked in the narcotics division of the Detroit Police Department.
Best known as volatile businessman "Mark Wilson" on Irwin Allen's sci-fi series, Land of the Giants (1968).
Matheson was also a jazz drummer, often invited to play on stage by his friend, Buddy Rich.
