The Flash Season 4 Blu-Ray Release Date And Extras Revealed

Despite obviously not being the first TV series introduced to us by the Arrowverse, The Flash has consistently proven itself as a fan favorite and a ratings success for The CW. With each passing year, the show introduces us to a healthy amount of DC heroes and villains – both well known and obscure – while never shying away from crazy sci-fi action. Really, I’m impressed with what the visual effects team are able to achieve week in and week out.

This time around, it was refreshing to see Barry Allen do battle with someone who wasn’t yet another evil speedster. Cool as the previous big bads were, Clifford DeVoe Aka the Thinker will go down as being a great foil for Team Flash, having taken them to the intellectual limit like never before.

If you have the slightest idea of what I’m talking about, then you’ll want

Devoe Delivers the Sucker Punch in Episode “Lose Yourself” of ‘The Flash’

Warning : Potential Spoilers Ahead

After a light and entertaining episode, The Flash hits rock bottom in darkness, in the latest one. Clifford Devoe strikes the team Flash which causes tremors once and for all.

As we know from the earlier episodes, Thinker is on a mission and “Lose Yourself” provides the perfect platform for him to execute his dreaded evil plan. He absorbs both final bus meta Edwin Gauss, (aka The Folding Man) and last week’s gravity controlling metahuman, Janet Petty. None of these were huge when compared to Devoe taking over Ralph.

Hartley Sawyer’s Ralph Dibny had an interesting character arc this season. From being a comic relief to devoted superhero/sidekick, it was a 360-degree transformation. Losing him can be considered as a big liability for the Team Flash. Even Caitlin snow suffered a loss when DeVoe touched Caitlin, he triggered Melting Point’s ability

'The Flash' Episode 4.18 Photos: What's Harry Planning?
A final showdown between The Thinker and Team Flash draws near as DeVoe's plan gets closer to completion on The Flash. Will Barry and his team come up with a way to outmaneuver their foe? It seems less likely each day has DeVoe continues to collect more and more powers and even manipulates his own wife to win.

The official episode description from the CW says, "When Barry (Grant Gustin) and Team Flash find a way to enter The Thinker's lair, Ralph (guest star Hartley Sawyer) considers crossing a dangerous line to defeat DeVoe. Meanwhile, Joe (Jesse L. Martin) is concerned by Harry's (Tom Cavanagh) recent behavior."

DeVoe Invades Star Labs In New Preview Images For The Flash

To me, there’s just something wrong about whenever a villain violates the sanctity of a superhero’s home base. Really, whenever Ra’s al Ghul or the Joker have crashed the Batcave, or when Lex Luthor set foot in the Fortress of Solitude, it just seemed like such a perversion that’d cause excitement knowing the story would be taken to unexpected places.

In the case of The Flash, it’s already happened with the series’ previous big bads – the Reverse-Flash, Zoom and Savitar – in addition to several other foes of lesser importance, but it feels no less shocking to see Clifford DeVoe Aka the Thinker showing up uninvited at Star Labs.

We already knew that Team Flash will be taking the fight to him next week, but one of the images included in the gallery below shows DeVoe’s latest vessel poking around what we normally think of as being a safe zone.

The Flash Synopsis Teases Ralph Dibny Staring Into The Abyss

Say what you want about the idea of Iris West temporarily becoming a speedster, but I personally felt that the most recent episode to have aired ended up being one of season 4’s better outings. Not only that, but Harry Wells seemingly turned the tide in the war against the Thinker by crafting a “thinking cap” of his own.

But no matter if you have gripes or praise to voice, I think we can all lament the hiatus The Flash is currently enduring. Actually, this has been something we’ve unfortunately had to get used to this season when it comes to a variety of CW series. But, on the plus side, it’ll soon be over.

Speaking of which, expect the ongoing feud with Clifford DeVoe to heat up not long after the saga resumes, as the official synopsis for “Lose Yourself” has this to offer:

Ralph Considers Crossing

Fastest Woman Alive Debuts in Latest ‘Flash’ Episode ‘Run Iris Run’

Warning : Potential Spoilers Ahead. After a heavy and edgy episode, The Flash is back on the entertainment format with “Run Iris Run” as we witness Iris West who becomes a speedster in one of the best episodes of the season 4 we’ve seen in recent times. Team Flash continues their hunt for the remaining Bus Metas, in order to save them from Devoe. They confront a new bus meta, Matthew Aka Melting Pot (guest star Leonardo Nam), who can swap people’s DNA. When Iris and Barry turn up to ask Kim a few questions, he accidentally removes Barry’s speed away and gives it to Iris. Inspired by Thawne, Harrison Wells develops his own thinker cap though it was disapproved by Cisco. Another Metahuman with fire powers terrorizes the city, and now with the new superspeed and extensive training under the guidance of Barry. Iris created a tidal wave to stop him.

The Flash: New Featurette Teases DeVoe’s Grand Plan

After being forced into hibernation for a few weeks thanks to the 2018 Winter Olympics, The Flash is finally ready to get back to business. And with Barry Allen now finally out of the clink, we hope the show can recapture some of the old magic – or lightning in a bottle, if we’re to be more on the nose.

So, as DeVoe continues to body-hop – this time in the skin of Hazard – Team Flash make a mad dash to locate the rest of the bus metas, as laid out in a new featurette that you can view at the top. Taking us on the guided tour is none other than executive producer Todd Helbing, who gives us a decent idea of what to expect from “Subject 9.”

Speaking of which, one can’t help but assume that “Subject 9” is that of the Fiddler, who’s out to prove that guest characters can get lamer.

  • BuddyTV
With DeVoe's plans slowly being revealed, Ralph realizes he's a target and not pleased with the possibility. Will he continue to work with Team Flash? Or, will he take his chances on his own in "Subject 9"?

The official episode description from the CW says, "Barry (Grant Gustin) meets a powerful woman whose abilities could help him in his battle with DeVoe (guest star Sugar Lyn Beard). Meanwhile, after learning that DeVoe is targeting everyone who was on the bus, Ralph (Hartley Sawyer) decides he doesn't want to be a hero anymore, his only concern is staying alive. Harry (Tom Cavanagh) offers to help Joe (Jesse L. Martin)."

The Flash Faces The Fiddler In New Photos For Upcoming Episode

Barry Allen is now back out of prison, but that doesn’t mean his troubles are over. In the next episode of The Flash, titled “Subject 9,” the Thinker will continue his/her masterplan as Team Flash comes up against a new metahuman.

In last week’s episode, Ralph shapeshifting into DeVoe got Barry released from prison – but the real DeVoe is still one step ahead of them. The Thinker is now inside the body of Becky Sharpe/Hazard (Sugar Lyn Beard) and we know from the promo for “Subject 9” that his next target will be Izzy Aka the Fiddler (Miranda McDougall).

In the comics, the Fiddler is a male member of the Flash’s rogues who’s also teamed up with the Injustice Society and the Black Lantern Corps. The meta uses their fiddling skills to hypnotize others and on The Flash, the character has not only been gender-bent, but

Here’s What To Expect When The Flash Returns In Two Weeks

Although we could probably keep going back and forth when it comes to what the last few episodes of The Flash had to offer, I hope that we can all agree it’s for the better that Barry Allen has finally been exonerated and is out of prison. To borrow from the title of the Scarlet Speedster’s inaugural story arc in the New 52, we can now “move forward.”

Of course, we’re going to have to wait to see whatever lies ahead, as the network has placed this and several other of its shows on a brief hiatus for the next few weeks. As such, we had not much to go on last week other than a new promo video.

Fortunately, there’s now this synopsis for the returning episode, “Subject 9”:

Ralph Fears For His Life — Barry (Grant Gustin) meets a powerful woman whose abilities could help him

Bigger Problems for Team Barry in “Honey, I Shrunk Team Flash”

Warning : Potential Spoilers Ahead. After back to back dark episodes, The Flash again started travelling in the direction fun and lighter entertainment. The latest episode “Honey, I Shrunk Team Flash” is another example of the perfect comedy that the show seems to do so well. As we know that Barry is in Prison, and Team Flash is currently surviving under the leadership of Iris. The latest episode introduces another bus meta Sylbert Rundine, who has the powers to shrink each and everything (not Antman…) including both Cisco and Ralph. Even Barry is busy, as he was on a mission to prove big sir’s innocence. After the previous episode “Elongated Knight Rises”, once again the showrunners have deviated from the main plot in order to focus on the subplots, this includes a twist about Cecile and the prison guard. But most of their efforts were spot on in this episode.
