TodayTix to Celebrate Five-Year Anniversary With Concert Benefitting Dramatists Guild Foundation

TodayTix, the international ticketing platform on a mission to redefine the way people see theater, will celebrate its five-year anniversary with a concert to benefit the Dramatists Guild Foundation (Dgf) New Voices program, on September 24th at 7:30pm Est at National Sawdust in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

The evening will bring together the elements that have helped bring TodayTix to its five-year anniversary — the artists, the performances and the audiences. Hosted by Darren Criss, the concert will feature stripped down musical sessions, in an intimate setting, by Mark Ballas with his wife and other half of music duo Alexander Jean, BC Jean, Erich Bergen (“Madam Secretary”), Ariana DeBose, Kathryn Gallagher, Lesli Margherita (Olivier Award winner), Matthew Morrison (Tony and Emmy Nominee) and Ethan Slater. Benjamin Rauhala will serve as Music Director.

The Off-Broadway League announced nominees for the 2018 Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway today. See the full list of nominees below.

This year’s awards ceremony, to be hosted by Laura Benanti and Jason Jones, who appear together on TBS’s The Detour, is set for Sunday, May 6, at the NYU Skirball Center. The evening will honor Tony-winning playwright and performer Eve Ensler (The Vagina Monologues) with a Lifetime Achievement Award, and longstanding Off-Broadway company Wp Theater for their Outstanding Body of Work.

Broadway Belts For Pff! Raises Record-Breaking $350,000

The Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (Pff) announced that its annual Broadway Belts for Pff! raised a record-breaking $350,000, bringing its eight-year fundraising total to nearly $1.2 million.

The sold-out event on March 12 featured a “Sweet 16” reunion of the Tony Award-winning musical Hairspray original cast members to honor Margo Lion, an original producer and a longtime supporter of Broadway Belts for Pff!
