Netflix has shared the official trailer, key art and first-look photos from the upcoming series Toxic Town, which will premiere globally on February 27.

Toxic Town is a four-part limited series from Broke & Bones and multi-award-winning writer Jack Thorne.

Based on the real-life story of one of the UK’s biggest environmental scandals, Toxic Town is the story of the people at the heart of the Corby poisonings.

Focusing on the mothers, who took on a David and Goliath battle for justice, the series traces through the years of their fight as a terrible truth comes to the surface.

By Green Lantern’s light, no evil shall escape Kelly Macdonald’s sight as she joins DC’s Lanterns series. Known for her starring role as Margaret Thompson in Boardwalk Empire, Carla Jean Moss in No Country for Old Men, and the voice of Merida in Disney’s Brave, Macdonald joins the series to play Sheriff Kerry, a “no-nonsense woman deeply devoted to her family and close-knit town.” Hardened by a complicated past, Sheriff Kerry answers the call when her community’s secrets start bubbling to the surface. While not confirmed, Sheriff Kerry may be a love interest for Kyle Chandler’s Hal Jordan.

Chris Mundy (Ozark) will serve as showrunner and executive producer and will co-write the series alongside Damon Lindelof (The Leftovers) and Tom King (Supergirl), who will also executive produce. James Hawes, a prolific TV director best known for Black Mirror and Slow Horses, will helm the first two episodes.

On its surface, The Radleys is another of the many vampire movies that have created their own horror subgenre. Fans can come up with a half-dozen great vampire films. But past the fact that the main characters drink blood, there are a lot of different elements to this project, from family drama to clear comedy and even a little romance. How does an actor approach a movie that doesn't want to fit in its own box?

To find out, Cbr spoke to stars Bo Bragason (who plays Clara Radley) and Harry Baxendale (who portrays Rowan Radley) about their experience making The Radleys. The actors explained what excited them about the movie in the first place, and some of the ways that other genres are at play under the vampire story. Plus, why was the film important to them personally?

Cbr: What was it about The Radleys that first caught your attention?...

Vampires may be the stars of The Radleys, but the movie's biggest surprises come at home. The adaptation of Matt Haig's novel aims to blend horror scares with family drama -- and the man responsible for balancing those two ideas is director Euros Lyn. A genre veteran, Lyn is known for helming episodes of Doctor Who and its spinoff Torchwood, as well as the Black Mirror installment "Fifteen Million Merits." That makes him the perfect person to play with genre expectations.

With The Radleys now streaming, Cbr spoke to Lyn about the making of this quirky film. He discussed why he feels it stands out amongst so many other vampire movies and what appeals to him about working in the horror and science fiction space. Plus, learn how he re-teamed with actor Damian Lewis to get not one, but two great performances out of one of Britain's best actors.

Netflix’s Heartstopper has received much critical acclaim and praise from the audience for its portrayal of the LGBT community. The show’s pacing and tone were applauded along with the performance of leads Joe Locke and Kit Connor.

The Radleys is a vampire movie like no other. Set in a rural English seaside town, it picks up with a family of vampires attempting to give up drinking blood. However, things soon escalate when the kids discover their true nature (a situation made worse when their twisted uncle shows up to cause chaos).  

Homeland and Billions star Damian Lewis takes on dual roles as that uncle, Will, and the family's mild-mannered patriarch, Peter. The twin brothers are polar opposites and we soon learn that they have vastly different approaches to being a vampire. 

We sat down with Lewis earlier this week and asked what drew him to The Radleys, a project which reunites him with filmmaker Euros Lyn after they previously collaborated on Dream Horse.

Netflix’s season three trailer for Heartstopper begins by acknowledging that 16 is when things stop making sense. (And it doesn’t get any easier moving forward.) The trailer for the coming-of-age drama captures teen angst, and shows Charlie and Nick’s relationship is still incredibly complicated.

The BAFTA TV Craft Awards took place on Sunday, April 28, with British TV host and documentarian Stacey Dooley hosting the event at East London’s The Brewery.
