It is unknown who Beetz will play in the movie. Anthony Mackie, Jack O’Connell, Margaret Qualley, and Colm Meaney are also starring. Benedict Andrews is directing from a script by Joe Shrapnel and Anna Waterhouse.

The story centers on attempts by the FBI to discredit Seberg through its Cointelpro program in retaliation for her support of the Black Panther Party. Those efforts included creating a false story in 1970 that the child Seberg was carrying was not fathered by her husband, but by a member of the Black Panther Party.

Seberg acted in dozens of films, including “Saint Joan,” “Bonjour Tristesse,” “Breathless,” and “The Mouse That Roared.” She died in 1979 in France, with authorities ruling her death a suicide.

Kristen Stewart has been cast as legendary actress Jean Seberg in the upcoming thriller “Against All Enemies.” The movie is being directed by “Una” breakout Benedict Andrews and is set to co-star Jack O’Connell, Anthony Mackie, Margaret Qualley, and Colm Meaney. “Edge of Tomorrow 2” scribes Joe Shrapnel and Anna Waterhouse wrote the screenplay.

Against All Enemies” is inspired by the true story of Seberg, who was targeted by the illegal FBI surveillance program Cointelpro in the late 1960s for supporting the Black Panther Party. Production is underway on “Last Moment of Clarity,” the debut film of writer/director brother duo Colin and James Krisel. Andrew LevitasMetalwork Pictures is producing, with his Rogue Black shingle financing. Stephen Israel and Allan Loeb are also producing.

The story centers on a man played by Zach Avery who witnesses the murder of his fiancée, portrayed by Weaving, in Brooklyn and flees to Paris to forget. Three years later, he finds himself a paranoid drifter, until one day at a Parisian cinema, he spots an actress who, to his mind, looks uncannily like his dead ex-love.

He returns to Los Angeles, reconnects with his old friend (Chaikin), and together they try to avoid the Albanian mafia while uncovering the truth about his fiancée.

The Notebook” director Nick Cassavetes has signed on to helm the romantic drama “Have You Seen Her?” from Metalwork Pictures and Paris Film Inc., with shooting set for early next year.

Cassavetes will direct from a script he is co-writing with Paul Johansson. Andrew Levitas will produce for Metalwork Pictures, with his Rogue Black label financing. Rob Paris will produce under his Paris Film banner alongside co-writer Johansson.

Producers are keeping the logline for “Have You Seen Her?” under wraps except for saying that it is an international romance in the vein of “The Notebook,” which launched the careers of Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams in 2004. First Look at Kate Beckinsale, Gugu Mbatha-Raw’s British Drama ‘Farming’
Production has wrapped in London on the British drama “Farming,” starring Kate Beckinsale, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and Damson Idris, Variety has learned exclusively.

Nigerian-British writer and director Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje helmed from his own screenplay based on his autobiographical story of the same name. The script was developed in the Sundance Film Institute and chronicles Akinnuoye-Agbaje’s own coming-of-age story growing up fostered by a white working class family in the U.K.

Idris, star of John Singleton’s FX series “Snowfall,” plays the lead. Despite his Nigerian roots, he grows up to become the leader of a racist skinhead gang in 1980s England. Beckinsale plays his foster mother and Mbatha-Raw portrays a benevolent teacher who offers him one last chance at redemption.

HanWay Films is handling international sales and distribution, and is selling the movie at the American Film Market in Santa Monica, Calif. Endeavor Content is overseeing the U.S. sales together with CAA.

Shooting Wraps On Ralph Fiennes’ Directorial Project ‘The White Crow’

Principal photography has now wrapped on Ralph FiennesThe White Crow, which has been shooting in locations across France, Russia, Croatia and Serbia since August. A new image has been released, featuring lead actor Oleg Ivenko as the legendary ballet star Rudolf Nureyev. Check it out below.

The White Crow was developed by BBC Films and Gabrielle Tana (The Duchess, Dancer, Philomena) who also produces with Carolyn Marks Blackwood through Magnolia Mae Productions together with Ralph Fiennes through Lonely Dragon Productions, and François Ivernel (The Queen, Slumdog Millionaire, The Iron Lady) through the French branch of his company, Montebello Productions. American artist and filmmaker Andrew Levitas (Lullaby, Georgetown, The Art of Getting By) is a producer and financier through his companies Metalwork Pictures and Rogue Black respectively.

Hanway Films is handling worldwide sales on the project. BBC Films, Hanway Films and The Fyzz Facility co-financed the film.

The project, based on the New York Times Magazine article by Franklin Foer, centers on Albrecht Muth (played by Waltz), an eccentric social climber who seduced and married a wealthy older widow, Viola Drath, portrayed by Redgrave. Muth and Drath entered the top political circles as they threw lavish events, with Muth lying extensively about his background — which came to light after Drath was found murdered in 2011 at their home in Georgetown.

Muth was 26 when he married the 71-year-old Drath in 1990. He was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to 50 years

New financing partners and cast members have been announced for “The White Crow,” the film based on a chapter of ballet dancer Rudolf Nureyev’s life and directed by Ralph Fiennes.

HanWay Films is the co-financing partner, and is selling the film at the Toronto International Film Festival.

London-based The Fyzz Facility has now come on board to co-finance the film, with the company’s Wayne Marc Godfrey and Robert Jones joining as executive producers. Filmmaker Andrew Levitas (“Lullaby”) has joined as a producer and financier through his Metalwork Pictures and Rogue Black banners.

Production is underway in France and Russia at locations including The Russian State Hermitage Museum, and will move to Croatia and Serbia. The film focuses on an explosive chapter in Nureyev’s life and is based on Julie Kavanagh’s book “Rudolf Nureyev: The Life.”

Johan Kobborg, the former principal dancer of London’s Royal Ballet, is attached as choreographer.

The duo will play an eccentric couple in this crime story that is based on true events.

Vanessa Redgrave will star alongside Christoph Waltz in his directorial debut Georgetown.

The Oscar-winning duo will play an unconventional couple in this crime drama inspired by the true story of Albrecht Muth, who was convicted in 2011 for murdering his much older socialite wife in Washington DC.

Pulitzer Prize-winning author David Auburn wrote the screenplay, with Brett Ratner producing through his production company RatPac Entertainment together with David Gerson and John Cheng.

Artist and filmmaker Andrew Levitas will also produce through his company Metalwork Pictures, which is also financing. Len Blavatnik of RatPac Entertainment will executive produce.

Cornerstone Films will oversee international sales and distribution and will commence sales in Cannes. ICM will handle the Us sale.
