He used to reside in Bath, UK, and worked as a screenwriter. He also developed a comedy-drama series for the BBC and wrote a feature film.

    Producer David Wilkinson said that LeParmentier wrote an outstanding screenplay "one of the best he ever read" about the composer Frederick Delius's time on an orange plantation in Florida. "It would have been an expensive film to make and it box office potential limited but the writing was first-rate" Wilkinson stated.
