London-born Dominic Lees studied film first in Poland, where he trained under Krzysztof Zanussi and Krzysztof Kieslowski. In England, he finished postgraduate training as a director at the Northern Film School, making two award-winning shorts, "The Nose" and "Borderland", which was shown at the Venice Film Festival and won "Best British Student Film".
Following commissions for television and Channel Four Films, Dominic is developing three feature scripts, projects with a strong international interest. His directorial debut, "Outlanders", goes into production in 2003.
