Daniel J. Leahy is a two-time Emmy Award-winning re-recording mixer who has contributed to more than 130 motion picture and television productions over a career spanning three decades. Alongside his Emmy wins for The Rat Pack (1998) and The Pacific (2010), he has six additional Emmy nominations and seven CAS Award nominations. Recent and notable credits include The Magnificent Seven (2016), True Detective (2014), Southpaw (2015), Training Day (2001) and The Fast and the Furious (2001).
Leahy began his career with Universal in 1977. Starting out as a dubbing machine room operator in the sound department, he quickly worked his way up to ADR mixer and earned one of his first credits as re-recording mixer on the classic film The Breakfast Club (1985). His 23 years at Universal were followed by tenures at Warner Bros. and Todd-AO. He joined Sony Pictures in 2014, where his first project was the action film The Equalizer.
