Walter Ladengast was born on July 4, 1899 in Vienna, Austria-Hungary. He was an actor, known for Nosferatu the Vampyre (1979), The Enigma of Kaspar Hauser (1974) and Kiss Me Casanova (1949). He died on July 3, 1980 in Munich, Bavaria, West Germany.

Versatile Austrian supporting actor, educated in Berlin and on stage following military service in World War I. In films from 1928, his career did not pick up significantly until the 1970's when he was 'rediscovered' by the director Werner Herzog and prominently cast as vampire hunter Van Helsing in Nosferatu the Vampyre (1979).
The actor Walter Ladengast was a popular support actor who appeared regular in movies for more than 40 years.
Walter Ladenganst continued his career successfully after the war and was often seen on the big screen especially in the 50's.
