Fiorello LaGuardia was born on 11 December 1882 in New York City, New York, USA. He was previously married to Marie Fisher and Thea Almerigotti. He died on 20 September 1947 in Bronx, New York, USA.
Served in the US Army from 1917-19, rising to the rank of major. He commanded a unit of the Army Air Service, flying the Ca.44 bomber on the Italian-Austrian front.
