Mini Bio (1)
Randy has become a bit of an international director as of late. Not only did he just get back from the Netherlands shooting a week on the thriller feature, "Blood Tulips" (aka: "Black Tulip"), he is also in post-production on a one-of-a-kind experiment - directing a feature film over Skype from Los Angeles that is shooting on location in Bangalore, India. The film, "Road King", is breaking new ground in a number of ways and a 2019 release across Indian & US markets is planned. And to top that off, he is in early prep for the Chinese co-production, Frog, that will shoot entirely on-location in Beijing, China.
Randy recently won Best Film Maker and Best Short Film at the Glendale International Film Festival for "The Pursuit", Best Experimental Short Film and an Award of Merit for "Forgotten" and a Silver Ace Award at the Las Vegas International Film Festival for the feature film, "Life Of Lemon". Other awards include 2 Best Director and Best Feature Film Awards at 2 different festivals for the horror anthology feature, "The Perfect House" and an Audience Choice Award for Best Short Film for the short, "Timmy, The Bag Boy". A planned feature film version of "Timmy" is now in the works along with several other feature and short projects.
Kent shot Bagboy Productions first feature film in the summer of 2002, entitled "Life, Death & Mini-Golf". The production was an entirely self-financed project and now sells on Amazon.com and various other sites. Filmed in three locations in 12 days, this drama ensemble stars comedy superstar actress, Kristen Wiig.
