Comic-Con 2011: Get The Futurama Head-In-a-Jar Creator App!

Good news, everyone! Not only did Futurama make its Earthican presence known at San Diego Comic-Con 2011, but series creator Matt Groening also announced the release of the Futurama Head-In-a-Jar Creator App for iPhone and iPod Touch!

Available for release on iTunes immediately after he announced it, and developed in a collaboration between Comedy Central, the producers of Futurama and Rough Draft Studios, the free App allows fans to design their own Head-In-a-Jar, just like in the cartoon!

The App allows users create their own customized character, choosing from male/female humans, robots or aliens, even customizing traits such as eyes, nose, hair, blemishes and the background. Other features include Futurama-themed accessories, such as a foil hat (seen in Into the Wild Green Yonder), Flexo’s beard, Nibbler’s antenna and a customized name plate for each head designed! Saturday Schedule Announced for 2010 San Diego Comic-Con; Highlights Include Green Lantern, Thor, Captain America, Harry Potter, Cowboys & Aliens

Even with the recently released Thursday and Friday schedules for San Diego Comic Con, the Saturday July 24 schedule is exploding with “epic epicness.” Hall H doesn’t have a bad apple in the bunch with the following movies all taking the stage: Green Lantern, Sucker Punch, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Let Me In, Resident Evil Afterlife, Paul, Cowboys & Aliens, Thor, and Captain America: The First Avenger. Then we cap the night off with Kevin Smith.

The TV schedule is just as good as it’ll feature sneak peaks of The Event, Futurama, Community, Family Guy and much more. Plus, even fans of Lost and Scott Pilgrim will find stuff to do.

Comedy Central announce San Diego Comic Con line-up

Comedy Central have announced their schedule for this years San Diego Comic-Con. This year Comedy Central will host panels for their new animated show Ugly Americans as well as a panel for the newly returned to TV Futurama. In addition to the panels, Comedy Central will cap things off Saturday night with the free comedy event, Comedy Central Live @ Comic-Con live from the House of Blues which will be hosted by comedian Pete Holmes (Ugly Americans).

Fox Television Announces Their Comic-Con 2010 Lineup

Fox brings 11 series to Comic-Con 2010 Twentieth Century Fox Television will once again dominate the San Diego Comic-Con convention, with stars and creators of eleven of its signature shows heading down to the world famous fan gathering next month. In addition to exclusive sneak peeks of its programs and panel discussions with the stars and creators of its shows, the studio will unveil its brand new larger and more central booth on the convention floor. The sleek new design includes a 25-foot multi-media cyclone tower stretching high into the rafters allowing the booth to instantly transform between various properties, and provides generous space for autograph signings, premium giveaways and merchandise sales.
