Eric Wayne Jones is a director, producer, and multi award-winning screenwriter. He began his love for making movies in his early childhood. From 1995 to 1996 he attended Adam Rourke's Film Actors Lab in Dallas where he learned how to direct actors. He was involved with developing various independent film projects in the late 1990's. In 2000, Eric directed the music video Blackout for The Nixon's, which won an award for Best Rock Video at World-Fest Houston. In 2001, his short film Bar Flies was released which he wrote, directed, and produced. The film became a Finalist for Best Short Film at the Dallas USA Film Festival that same year and is available to view on YouTube. In 2003, Eric moved to Los Angeles where he worked at Warner Bros. for several major studio executives, as well as in the story department. He also worked for Sony Pictures and Universal Studios. After a twelve-year absence from the business to pursue other endeavors, Eric returned to his passion for writing screenplays and filmmaking in 2019. He has written several feature film projects that are in development: the romantic comedy Famously Unknown, which won Eight Awards and received Sixteen Nominations at film festivals across the globe in 2022 for Best Un-Produced Screenplay; the comedy Stray Cats & Hungry Wolves - based on his short film Bar Flies; the science fiction/thriller Raiders of Eternity; and he also served as co-writer on the horror/thriller The Bluesman.
