Was on holiday in Railey Beach, Thailand when it was hit by the massive
tidal-waves following the 9,0 earthquake on December 26th, 2004. His
girlfriend Elina Kranz (leader of 'Stand-Up Norway') described; "We
were laying on the beach relaxing, when all of a sudden panic errupted.
We saw the giant wave and ran like crazy." At first they ran on to a
balcony, but when news came of a second wave, they ran to safety in the
mountains surrounding the beach and stayed there for the night together
with their actor friends Bjarte Hjelmeland, Henrik Mestad and
their partners.
