Julia Jentsch was born on February 20, 1978 in Berlin, Germany. She is an actress, known for Sophie Scholl: The Final Days (2005), The Edukators (2004) and 24 Wochen (2016). She has been married to Christian Hablützel since 2012. They have one child.

Studied at the Drama School "Ernst Busch" in Berlin from 1997 to 2001.
Has been an ensemble member of the Munich Kammerspiele since 2001.

Beside her critically acclaimed roles in three movies, she has been the leading actress in three stage productions at Munich Kammerspiele: "Antigone", "Die Nibelungen" and "Die zehn Gebote" since 2004.
She and Lena Stolze won the Film Award in Gold at the German Film Awards as "Best Actress" for portraying Sophie Scholl
