Baba Sehgal: Our music scene more of copywood than Bollywood

Rapper Baba Sehgal says the industry should stop recreating old classic film soundtracks and that the industry is lately more of copywood than Bollywood.

"It's time Bollywood stop recreating/remixing old classic film soundtracks. There's no harm in recreating a song but the quality, instrumentation and the output in doing so is sad and pathetic. Is it because there is no creativity left or is it because they want to encash on super popularity of the old songs?" Baba, who rose as a rap artist in the early 1990s, tweeted on Sunday.

The 53-year-old, who also gave acting a shot at one point, added: "Please tap the right talent, as we have it in abundance here, and stop destroying and ruining the original. It's become more of copywood than Bollywood."

Winter Is Coming in This First Trailer for The Angry Birds Movie 2

The first trailer has been released for The Angry Birds Movie 2. Yes, there is a sequel, and the sequel looks just as silly as the first film. I didn’t really care for the first movie, but obviously audiences loved it because it’s getting a sequel and that audience will probably enjoy it.

The trailer plays out with the tune of Vanilla Ice’s “Ice Ice Baby” and comes with the same tagline as Game of Thrones, “Winter is Coming.” The story seems to follow a new bird living in an Arctic wasteland that escapes to the tropical world where the other characters from the original film reside.

The movie features a great voices cast that includes Jason Sudeikis as Red, Josh Gad as Chuck, Danny McBride as Bomb, Peter Dinklage as Mighty Eagle, Brooklynn Price as Zoe, Leslie Jones, Rachel Bloom, Sterling K. Brown, Eugenio Derbez, Zach Woods,

Angry Birds 2 Trailer Arrives, Putting the Birds on Ice

Sony Pictures and Rovio Entertainment have revealed the first trailer and poster for Angry Birds 2. The sequel flyies into theaters on August 16th, 2019 in celebration of the tenth anniversary of the first game. In the trailer, we're introduced to the villainous Zeta. She's got tons of ice... and zero chill. The first film's birds and pigs, including Jason Sudeikis as the temperamental Red, Josh Gad as speedy Chuck, Bill Hader as Leonard, king of the pigs, and Danny McBride as the volatile Bomb, are back for more fun, as is Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones), stentorian voice of the legendary Mighty Eagle.

The Angry Birds 2 trailer starts off with Vanilla Ice's iconic 1990 hit "Ice Ice Baby" before introducing Zeta's (Leslie Jones) ice palace. Things seem to be going okay at first, but the villain quickly tires of the ice and not being able to eat or drink anything because

You Have to Watch Chris Pine Rap
All right stop, collaborate and listen...Chris Pine's rapping. The 38-year-old Wonder Woman and Star Trek actor rocked a mic, or rather a pen, like a vandal and rapped Vanilla Ice's 1990 one hit wonder "Ice, Ice Baby," a favorite track from his childhood, on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday after chatting about the music he grew up with and the first concerts he watched and a band he used to be in with his middle school teachers. Pine said "Ice Ice Baby" was the first song he remembers memorizing. "It's not a bad song," Pine said. "Eleven years old,"...

Chris Pine Knows All the Words to ‘Ice, Ice Baby’ — Watch Him Hilariously Rap It
Chris Pine is a man of many talents.

On Thursday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the Wonder Woman actor, 38 revealed that he was in a band in high school with his English and math teachers — and that the first song he ever learned in its entirety was “Ice, Ice, Baby” by Vanilla Ice.

The star showed off his rap skills to much fanfare from the audience and his host, 51, after a lengthy chat with the comedian about the first concerts they ever went to. One of Kimmel’s was Lionel Richie with — wait for it — his mom.

“It’s not a bad song,

Vanilla Ice Biopic Happening with Dave Franco in the Lead?
A Vanilla Ice biopic called To the Extreme may be in the works, with Dave Franco set to star as the rapper. Things That Make You Go Hmmm: Why 2018 Was a Year of Nineties Obsessions
The hardest-working decade of 2018? That’s easy: the Nineties. The whole concept of the Nineties continues to haunt the pop imagination, epitomizing everything our sorry excuse for a decade fails to be. Let’s face it, the “teens” never became a thing, just like the “zeroes” didn’t. So as we head into the final year of this decade which is bizarrely not one, we look back to the last one that counted. Decades are more popular than ever these days, as a useful shorthand for how culture changes over time.

Vin Diesel Teaches Breakdancing in Unearthed Video from the 80s

Vin Diesel Teaches Breakdancing in Unearthed Video from the 80s
Vin Diesel's breakdancing video reminds everybody of his old school hip hop cred. The action star is 51-years old and grew up in New York City, which places him right in the middle of the birth of hip hop. Vin Diesel, aka Mark Sinclair, has often talked about his days growing up as an aspiring break-dancer back in the mid-1980s. Back then, he was dancing in the streets (not like David Bowie and Mick Jagger), performing at Columbus Circle and Washington Square Park, which Diesel fondly calls his first gig.

To get into clubs for free, Vin Diesel started doing security so that he could spend his nights off dancing. He's obviously a kid in the breakdancing video, so some of his moves are a little off, but they're much better than a lot of people can do, and a lot better than his first attempt at rapping.

It could break a record next week … We could totally have a top six of just guys.” Eng was joined by Daniel Montgomery, Cordell Martin and Jeffrey Kare to discuss that dubious milestone and more. The first three contestants sent home from the show this season were comedian Nikki Glaser, Paralympian Danelle Umstead and actress Nancy McKeon. It looked like “Dukes of Hazzard” star John Schneider or “Bachelorette” alum Joe Amabile would be ousted next,
