X-Men: Dark Phoenix Trailer Reaction Is Great, When Will We See It?

The Dark Phoenix trailer has officially screened. The CineEurope convention is currently going on and studios are there showing off their upcoming slate for exhibitors and a few people from the general public. Most of the stuff being shown at the convention isn't ending up online right away, but Fox did show a teaser trailer for the upcoming X-Men movie there. While there aren't a ton of reactions to go on, at least by one account, it was quite good. Here's what a translation from the website Kinometro had to say about the footage.

"Better than expected...loses the excess darkness of the teaser and clearly sets this up as a direct continuation of the X-Men"

It's pretty obvious that this site had the first teaser for New Mutants confused as a teaser for Dark Phoenix. So they're definitely comparing apples to oranges here and are a little lost. But

First X-Men: Dark Phoenix Trailer Reaction Says It Looks Better Than Expected

A slew of retro-inspired costumes isn’t the only thing that’ll help separate Dark Phoenix from the pack, as we’re now hearing that the latest X-Men installment is a bit of a lighter affair when compared to its superhero peers.

Or at least, so says Russian outlet KinoMetro, who were lucky enough to catch the first trailer for the film today at CineEurope, where Fox showed it off to those in attendance. It’s yet to make its way online unfortunately, and probably won’t be made available for a while, but the description below teases us with what we can expect.

Keep in mind that this is translated from Russian, so it’s a bit of a rough read. Still, it’s easy enough to make out the gist of it and the key takeaway here seems to be that the studio’s done away with the

X-Men: Dark Phoenix actor Evan Peters says the film is about the “X-Men family”

Evan Peters, one of the stars of X-Men: Dark Phoenix, has said that the new film is more “serious” than past entries and is about the “X-Men family”.

The X-Men franchise might be one of the most complicated and hard to follow superhero series in history. With its multiple timelines, origin movies, and future set solo films, it’s quite a lot for the casual moviegoer to comprehend.

At the end of the day, however, these films are meant to be fun superhero romps and can mostly be enjoyed as such but this is where the next entry, Dark Phoenix, is going to differ from films like Apocalypse.

According to Quicksilver actor Evan Peters, fans can expect a difference in tone once they sit down for the latest entry in the franchise, telling Den of Geek: “I think the title kind of says it all: it’s a little bit

Evan Peters Wants a Quicksilver X-Men Spinoff Film and Says X-men: Dark Phoenix Will Be Dark

Evan Peters' version of Quicksilver in the X-Men film is easily one of my favorite characters in the franchise. He's just such a fun and interesting character. I know a lot of fans enjoy him as well and if we ever saw Quicksilver get his own solo film, I bet it would be awesome!

During a recent interview with Et, Peters revealed that he "would love" to make a Quicksilver spinoff movie:

"I think that would be so fun. I love the special effects and the sequences and I love working with all those guys, so in one second I would do that."

If that's something the studio isn't thinking about yet, they definitely should be! There's so much potential with many of these mutant characters that could embark on their own adventures. Not everything needs to be a big team-up movie.

Quicksilver will next be seen in X-Men:

Evan Peters says X-Men: Dark Phoenix is closer in tone to First Class than Apocalypse

We’ve heard on several occasions from director Simon Kinberg that X-Men: Dark Phoenix will be more “grounded” than past instalments in the main X-Men franchise, in an effort to “course correct” the series after the mixed reception to 2016’s X-Men: Apocalypse.

Now, in an interview with Collider, actor Evan Peters – who plays the speedster Quicksilver – has revealed that Dark Phoenix is much less “goofy” than Apocalypse, and is closer in tone to 2011’s quasi-reboot X-Men: First Class.

“I think it’s the classic X-Men: First Class tone, where there’s a bit of humor thrown in there, but it’s much darker than the previous one, Apocalypse. Apocalypse was the ‘80s, so there was a lot of room for goofy stuff in there. This one is a much more serious film about the internal struggle of Phoenix and Jean, so it’s a dramatic film. There’s nothing very comedic about it,

Spoilers: X-Men: Dark Phoenix plot details surface following test screening

Back in March it was announced that 20th Century Fox had pushed back X-Men: Dark Phoenix from its original November 2nd 2018 release date to February 14th 2019, which was followed by a report that the film would be undergoing reshoots in response to feedback from a test screening.

Well, it seems that we now have some details from said test screening have made their way online via Reddit, and if true, they feature some major, major spoilers. Some of this may change with the additional photography, of course, but if you want to know as little as possible about the movie, you may want to stop reading now…

Jason Momoa and director Corin Hardy exit The Crow

The long-gestating remake of The Crow has suffered yet another setback, with Deadline reporting that star Jason Momoa and director Corin Hardy have both exited the film due to creative and financial differences with producer and financier Samuel Hadida of Davis Films.

Pre-production on The Crow has been in full swing with filming slating to begin next month in Budapest. However, according to the outlet, Hadida was yet to close a distribution deal with Sony Pictures – despite Sony announced a Us release date of October 11th 2019 back in March – and the failure to reach an agreement had left the studio ready to pull out. As a result, both Momoa and Hardy then chose to withdraw.

A remake of The Crow was first announced back in 2008, and was initially in the works at Relativity Media before the company’s collapse. The project has passed through the hands of several directors including Stephen Norrington,

There Are Fun And Dirty Alternate Takes Of That Hilarious Deadpool 2 Cameo

Having just crossed the $500 million mark at the worldwide box office, I suppose now is as good a time as any to discuss the multitude of awesome cameos in Deadpool 2.

Amongst those featured briefly in the David Leitch-directed sequel are a pair of Academy Award winners, one invisible (Brad Pitt) and one under heavy cosmetics (Matt Damon), Ryan Reynolds as Ryan Reynolds, reading over the script for his much-maligned superhero feature Green Lantern, and the X-Men.

The latter cameo saw the Merc with a Mouth cruising the X-Mansion in head honcho Charles Xavier’s trademark wheelchair, complaining about the lack of mutants present in the school for gifted youngsters. Just as he’s tossed from his ride, though, the camera reveals Professor X (James McAvoy), Quicksilver (Evan Peters), Storm (Alexandra Shipp) and Beast (Nicholas Hoult) actively hiding from Wade Wilson.

Evan Peters Discusses Quicksilver and How He's Changed in X-men: Dark Phoenix

Evan Peters' Quicksilver will be racing back into action in director Simon Kinberg's upcoming X-Men: Dark Phoenix. I've really enjoyed this film version of the character and the way that Peters has played him. He had the best scenes in both Days of Future Past and Apocalypse.

During a recent interview with ScreenRant, Peters talks about Quicksilver and how he's changed for Dark Phoenix. Things are going to be a little different for the character this next time around. He explains that Quicksilver has done a little growing up.

"He's definitely a little older and more mature, a little more subdued, sort of trying to make a, not a name but trying to do right by the X-Men and be a good guy and use his powers for good, so I think he's on that path at the moment."

It makes sense that the character would mature over time.

Wondering Where All the X-Men Are in Deadpool 2? There's an Explanation

Wondering Where All the X-Men Are in Deadpool 2? There's an Explanation
Warning: light spoilers for Deadpool 2 below.

Suffice it to say, Deadpool 2 has a lot going for it. With a bangin' soundtrack (that features none other than legendary icon Celine Dion), a pretty wild postcredits scene, and the very lucky Domino, round two of the growing franchise is delightfully action-packed and entertaining. Then, of course, there are the tons of cameos. Sure, Brad Pitt's small role was easily the most epic, but there's one other surprise appearance that's a direct callback to the first film: all the X-Men!

The moment in question comes while Deadpool is recovering at the mutant academy after attempting to blow himself up. He makes an off-the-cuff remark about how empty the mansion is, and then we pan over to a room with an open door; inside, we see Quicksilver (Evan Peters), Professor Xavier (James McAvoy), Beast (Nicholas Hoult), and even Cyclops (Tye Sheridan

Dark Phoenix Promo Poster Surfaces, Ditches X-Men from Title

Dark Phoenix Promo Poster Surfaces, Ditches X-Men from Title
The first promo poster for X-Men: Dark Phoenix has surfaced online. Or should we just say Dark Phoenix? Save for Logan, one common thread with every single one of the X-Men movies to date has been keeping the team's namesake in the title. However, this first promo poster, which is rather simple in design, axes that from the title and, were it not for a distinctive X at the end of the title, one less familiar with the franchise would be hard pressed to even know that this is for an X-Men movie.

This poster surfaced at the Las Vegas Licensing Expo, which is happening right now. Many of the materials, such as this poster, are used for the purposes of this convention only and aren't necessarily intended to advertise the movie to the public. Still, even if this poster isn't official, the logo very well may be and it

Every Cameo You Might Have Missed In Deadpool 2

2016’s Deadpool was already full of hilarious easter eggs and pop culture jokes, but Deadpool 2 goes above and beyond the pale. With the benefit of being the sequel to a smash hit success, it was able to bring several key names on board who turned up for cameos. Likewise, some of the film’s crew show up for blink-and-you’ll-miss-it roles as well.

But who are all these cameos we speak of? Well, assuming there aren’t still more to uncover, here are all of the ones to keep your eye out for in the film. Some of them you’ll definitely have spotted, while others might have been harder to discern.

Either way, here’s who we’ve picked out:

The X-Men – Just when Deadpool’s ranting about the fact that he only ever sees Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead at the X-Mansion, it’s revealed that the

Simon Kinberg Says X-men: Dark Phoenix will be More Grounded and More Loyal to the Original Comics Than X-men 3

I'm really curious to see how this new X-Men: Dark Pheonix turns out. The past couple of X-Men films range from decent to mediocre, but far from great. Hopefully, director Simon Kinberg will actually deliver something great. In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Kinberg talks about his film and explains that it will stay true to the comics…and also feel real and grounded:

"It’s much more loyal to the original comic than X-Men 3, which told the Dark Phoenix story. It’s a movie that involves extraterrestrial characters, which is not something that we’ve done in the X-Men franchise before, and is something that is a huge part of the Dark Phoenix saga in the comics. … It’s more intense and it’s more real and grounded, and hopefully more relatable."

When I heard the words "real" and "grounded" as it pertains to movies, I think of

Which X-Men Have Cameos In Deadpool 2?

One of my favorite jokes in Deadpool was when the Merc complained that the studio didn’t have the budget to afford an appearance from the big name X-Men, and that they’d have to make do with Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead. Well, with the film succeeding beyond 21st Century Fox’s wildest dreams, Deadpool 2 got double the budget of the original.

Does this mean that they can finally get some of the most recognizable mutants on screen alongside Wade Wilson, though? Yes, they most definitely can!

In an early scene, Deadpool’s brought back to Charles Xavier’s mansion by Colossus, where he sees Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Yukio. Once more he complains that there’s never any famous mutants hanging out at the mansion when he’s there, only for the camera to cut to a new angle to reveal Beast (Nicholas Hoult), Quicksilver (Evan Peters

How That Epic Deadpool 2 Cameo Connects to Larger X-Men Universe

How That Epic Deadpool 2 Cameo Connects to Larger X-Men Universe
Deadpool 2 is hiding a pretty epic cameo that fans have been waiting for. The sequel finally arrives in theaters this weekend and the secrets that the marketing team has been doing a bang-up job of hiding are now out of the bag. This movie does a lot of things right. Like, for example, finally connecting these movies the larger X-Men movie universe.

Warning: major spoilers ahead for Deadpool 2. Wade Wilson joked in the first movie about the fact that none of the other X-Men are there when he shows up at the X-Mansion, save for Colossus (Stefan Kapicic) and Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand). This time, he makes the same observation but with a very different outcome, as a handful of the major characters from the current iteration of the movies are at the X-Mansion while Deadpool is there. Beast (Nicholas Hoult), Quicksilver (Evan Peters), Storm (Alexandra Shipp

X-Men: Dark Phoenix is more grounded than past X-Men movies, says Simon Kinberg

Director Simon Kinberg has revealed that X-Men: Dark Phoenix will be more grounded than past movies in the franchise.

X-Men movies aren’t exactly known for their restraint, with 2017’s Logan being a notable exception. This is about to change, however, as the next movie in the main series, X-Men: Dark Phoenix, is going to be more grounded than what fans are used to.

This is according to longtime X-Men producer Simon Kinberg who spoke recently to Et at the premiere of Deadpool 2. Kinberg assures fans that the film’s tone will be “a little less operatic” than past X-Men movies. Adding that the movie is “more intense, and it’s more real and grounded, and hopefully more relatable.

“It’s much more loyal to the original comic than X-Men 3, which told the Dark Phoenix story,” Kinberg continued. “It’s a movie that involves extraterrestrial characters, which is not
