Personal Quote:
[about his role in
Star Wars (1977)] In a sense, my career's been downhill ever since. Fans still come to greet me at the stage door with action figures of my character and embarrassing photographs for me to sign.
Trivia:
Although Hootkins never worked with
Patrick Swayze, they were both born in Texas (Hootkins in Dallas, Swayze in Houston), they both died at age 57, they both died of pancreatic cancer, and they both died in California (Hootkins in Santa Monica, Swayze in Los Angeles).
