Gordon Honeycombe was born on September 27, 1936 in Karachi, British India as Ronald Gordon Honeycombe. He is known for his work on The Exorcism of Hugh (1972), The Wednesday Play (1964) and Late Night Theatre (1972). He died on October 9, 2015 in Perth, Western Australia, Australia.

After openly supporting the firemen's strike of 1977 by appearing on their picket lines and by writing a highly critical article in the Daily Mail, he was suspended by the editor of ITN. He resigned as an ITN newscaster in November 1977 to concentrate more on supporting the firemen's cause, and on writing stage/film/TV plays and books, and researching the genealogy of the Honeycombes.
Entered radio broadcasting in Hong Kong, subsequently joining the Royal Shakespeare Company.
