Patricia was educated at St Helen's Boarding School at Northwood, Middlesex then spent 4 years in training to become a teacher but her dream of acting was stronger and she won a place at LAMDA. One of her first roles was in 'Say Who You Are' at the Gateway Theatre at Chester. She was performing in a pub theatre when she was spotted by John Mortimer who picked her for Rumpole's counterpart in the tv series Rumpole of the Bailey then later she was Lady Diana Cooper in Edward and Mrs Simpson Other tv work includes Jemma Shore Investigates, The Naked Civil Servant and Holding the Fort while in the theatre she was in The Mitford Girl. and her first major film was Betrayal while on stage she was in The Mitford Girl in1981. She's married to music producer Peter Owen, has 2 step daughters, Frances and Louise and is god parent to Anthony Andrews' children, Her parents, Eric and Marion Hodge managed hotels.
