Chunky Panday excited for his short film

Actor Chunky Panday, who is gearing up for the release of his short film "Tap Tap", says it is one of the most interesting projects he has ever been a part of.

"Tap Tap" is one of the short films from the anthology "Shuruaat Ka Twist" -- mentored by Rajkumar Hirani, Vikramaditya Motwane, Raj Kumar Gupta and Amit V. Masurkar, read a statement.

Talking about the film, Chunky said: "I am really excited to be a part of HumaraMovie's intriguing initiative 'Shuruaat Ka Twist'. With a variety of narratives, this film is surely one of the most interesting projects I have been a part of.

Priya Bapat: Can easily shuffle between Marathi, Hindi films

Actress Priya Bapat, known for her Marathi films Kaksparsh and Aamhi Doghi,' is making her digital debut with the Hindi web series 'City of Dreams,' saying she doesn't want to limit herself to the Marathi film industry. "I think the way the business of cinema is changing, there shouldn't be any limitation for any actors to work in one film industry. I think I can easily shuffle from regional to Hindi depending on the kind of film offers I am getting. The Rajkumar Hirani film just happened to me. After that, I kept getting offers from Marathi films and explored them all," she told Ians.

Though she has acted in Bollywood films Munna Bhai Mbbs and Lage Raho Munna Bhai, Priya mostly worked in Marathi films and managed to make her space as an actress.

Rajkumar Hirani, Acclaimed Indian Film Director, Faces Sex Harassment Accusation

Bollywood fans reacted in shock today at a report that Rajkumar Hirani, one of India’s most successful and acclaimed filmmakers, has been accused by an actress of sexual harassment.

Hirani has denied the allegations and no lawsuit has been filed. He is best known as the director of Hindi language films Munna Bhai M.B.B.S., Lage Raho Munnabhai, 3 Idiots, Pk, and Sanju. The films have won multiple awards in India and are regarding as groundbreaking.

The allegation arises from an alleged series of incidents involving a female assistant director who worked on the 2018 film Sanju, a biopic of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt that was released in June 2018. The film has since grossed $83 million worldwide and has six nominations at the upcoming Asian Film Awards, including a best director nod for Hirani.

The unidentified woman said Hirani sexually abused her more than once between March and September 2018 during post-production on Sanju.

Director Rajkumar Hirani, who has directed films like 3 Idiots, Sanju, Munnabhai series, Pk etc., was recently accused of sexual assault by a woman who worked with the director in his recent flick - Sanju.

However, Rajkumar Hirani, responding through his lawyer Anand Desai, has categorically denied the allegations.

In an email to Huff Post India, a media organisation, the statement from his team read: “At the outset, our client states that the allegations made against him are false, mischievous, scandalous, motivated and defamatory,”

‘Burning’ Tops Asian Film Awards Nominations
Lee Chang-dong’s smoldering drama “Burning” picked up the largest number of nominations Friday for the 2019 edition of the Asian Film Awards. The Korean adaptation of a Japanese short story was nominated in eight categories, including best film.

Other best film nominees were Pema Tseden’s “Jinpa,” Wen Muye’s “Dying to Survive,” Rajkumar Hirani’s “Sanju,” and Hirokazu Kore-eda’s “Shoplifters.”

The nominations were announced in Hong Kong on Friday afternoon. The prize ceremony will be held in Hong Kong on Sunday, March 17.
