Earl Hindman was born on October 20, 1942 in Bisbee, Arizona, USA as Earl John Hindman. He was an actor, known for Silverado (1985), The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (1974) and The Parallax View (1974). He was married to Molly McGreevy. He died on December 29, 2003 in Stamford, Connecticut, USA.

On the series Home Improvement (1991) he never allowed his entire face to be seen. He would usually be filmed behind his fence. When that was not possible, he'd either keep his face turned from the camera, or appear behind a conveniently placed object.
