Andrej Hieng was born on 17 February 1925 in Ljubljana, Slovenia, Yugoslavia. He was a writer and assistant director, known for Don't Cry Peter (1964), Mrtva ladja (1971) and Amandus (1966). He died on 15 January 2000 in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
