Three New Photos From Ted Bundy Biopic Extremely Wicked

A couple of days ago, we shared a time-lapse video posted to Instagram by Extremely Wicked, Shocking Evil, and Vile star Zac Efron undergoing his transformation from hunky Hollywood heavyweight to savage serial killer Ted Bundy, and I must say, the end result is quite remarkable. The clip was posted in celebration of the film wrapping production, and while the biopic is still without an official release date, we’ve now got a first look at another of the thriller’s leading men, John Malkovich.

Portraying Judge Edward Cowart in the pic, who presided over the case and ultimately sentenced Bundy to death, Malkovich is seen conversing with co-star Zac Efron behind the scenes. Also captured in these photos is Big Bang Theory star Jim Parsons, who’ll play lead prosecutor Larry Simpson. Here, he can be seen cooly keeping his calm at what appears to be a rather intense moment.

John Malkovich is spotted in one of Zac Efron's behind-the-scenes photos from Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile as Judge Edward Cowart, who presided over the trial and sentenced Ted Bundy to death. The trial was nationally televised and gained a lot of media attention. Bundy, played by Zac Efron, represented himself and even developed a rapport with Cowart. Zac Efron Shares New Images From His Ted Bundy Biopic ‘Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile’
Zac Efron playing a serial killer may at first seem an odd choice if you don’t know much about the murderer in question: Ted Bundy, who was regarded as good-looking and charismatic — traits he used to lure in his 30-plus female victims. Efron stars in the appropriately named “Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile,” and just shared new photos from the set. Avail yourself of them below.

Lily Collins, John Malkovich, Haley Joel Osment, Terry Kinney, Jim Parsons, Kaya Scodelario, and Metallica’s James Hetfield (yes, really) co-star in the film, which is being directed by Joe Berlinger. Best known for his documentaries — including and especially the essential “Paradise Lost” trilogy — Berlinger also helmed the ill-fated “Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2.”

“Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile,” whose attention-grabbing title is lifted directly from one of Bundy’s guilty verdicts, has yet to receive a release date.

First Look at Big Bang Theory Star in Ted Bundy Biopic

First Look at Big Bang Theory Star in Ted Bundy Biopic
Zac Efron's transformation into infamous serial killer Ted Bundy can be seen arguing with Jim Parsons as Larry Simpson on the set of Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile. Efron has been sharing new pictures from the set of he and Parsons in their late 1970s wardrobe and you can see Efron's charming Bundy character on full display. Parsons plays Larry Simpson, who was the lead prosecutor who convicted Bundy in a Miami courtroom. This is the first time that we've seen Jim Parsons as Simpson in the new movie.

Though Ted Bundy had 5 court appointed attorneys, he largely took care of most of his defense against Larry Simpson. Jim Parsons portrays Simpson and it's imagined that both he and Zac Efron have been studying all of the court reports from the over 250 journalists that covered the world-famous trial. Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile tells the story through

Berlin Film Review: ‘Mug’

The asterisks would practically outnumber the alphabet if one were to quote the exact Metallica lyric that blares out intermittently during Malgorzata Szumowska’s “Mug.” Suffice to say, the song is “Hardwired,” and the cut concludes with a treble drumbeat underlining the sentiment “Hard-wired to self! de! struct!” At first it seems to be a choice based on incongruity: The crunching power chords accompany images of our hero Jacek (Mateusz Kościukiewicz) driving a car so rickety it looks like you could peel the roof off with a can opener through the rural farmlands of southern Poland. But soon it becomes clear that Szumowska, despite the satirical bent overall, is not using the song ironically, but suggesting the combined forces of consumerism, Catholicism, bigotry, and parochialism have her homeland on a dangerous path. Don’t let the moments of outright comedy fool you; in “Mug,” Szumowska agrees with James Hetfield’s assessment of the situation: “We’re

Zac Efron Becomes Ted Bundy In New Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil And Vile Photos

In something of a departure from his frequent roles as a dippy beefcake in comedies like Baywatch, Neighbours and Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, Zac Efron is next set to play serial killer, rapist, kidnapper and necrophiliac Ted Bundy in director Joe Berlinger’s upcoming Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile.

Of course, Bundy is one of the most notorious serial killers of the modern age, confessing to thirty homicides of women across seven states between 1974 and 1978, and was noted for his brutality and psychopathic charisma. One of the reasons he was such a successful serial killer was that he didn’t fit the ‘creepy’ stereotype, with his young female victims easily falling into this charismatic, handsome man’s trust.

All this makes Zac Efron an inspired bit of casting and now, we’ve got two more stills from the movie showing the actor in character as Bundy in

Metallica’s James Hetfield Will Star in First acting Role in ”Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile”

James Hetfield is going to be starring his first real acting role in Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile. The Metallica headman has been in films before but always as himself and never as an actual character fulfilling a role so this is going to be something awesome I feel. It’s going to be interesting to see if he’s got the kind of talent that’s needed for this part or if he’s going to falter at all. My money is on him doing a great job and being someone in the film that you want to see more of. I

First Look at Metallica's James Hetfield in Zac Efron's Extremely Wicked
Zac Efron and James Hetfield are not two names that many would've ever thought they'd see together, never mind them acting in a movie together. It was first announced yesterday that Hetfield was joining the cast of the Ted Bundy biopic in his first-ever dramatic acting role. Hetfield worked with Berlinger once before, but that was for the Metallica documentary Some Kind of Monster.

The new image from the set of Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile features James Hetfield as police officer Bob Hayward and Zac Efron's Ted Bundy. In real-life, officer Hayward was the first person to arrest Bundy after he rightfully had suspicions that he was up to more than just burglary in 1975. It's pretty interesting to see Hetfield clean
