The Five Best All-Time Anika Moments on “Empire”

When Empire first came out back in 2015, it became an instant hit mainly because of the characters at play. The top billers, Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard, are the epitome of what power couples should be. Not only are their characters successful and charismatic; they’re also equally insane in the most dramatic sense of the word. Of course, for Taraji’s character Cookie to be fully recognized, there has to be an opposing force that’s just equal in power and pull. That opposing force for the past four seasons of the show is Anika Calhoun, played by the amazing

Meet the 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards Female Best Hero Nominees

Girl power is bound to have a moment at tomorrow night's 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards. The coveted Best Hero honor was awarded exclusively to men until just three years ago, when Jennifer Lawrence represented for the ladies with her portrayal of Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay—Part 2. Taraji P. Henson took it home again in 2017, and there's a strong possibility this year's Best Hero award will go to a woman for a third consecutive time. Among the female nominees is Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) and Daisy Ridley (Star Wars: The Last Jedi), who are going up against Chadwick Boseman (The Black...

New Trailer for ‘Wreck-It Ralph 2’ Breaks The Internet

Disney has released a new trailer and poster for ‘Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-it Ralph 2‘, the much anticipated sequel to 2012’s ‘Wreck-It Ralph’. The sequel picks up when Ralph and Vanellope must travel to the world wide web in search of a replacement part for her game, Sugar Rush.

Although the trailer itself is pretty light on story, there’s a lot of fun to be had with it. Even though it’s only been six years since the release of the original film, the even further rise to prominence of social media seems to play a big part in the sequel. I’m loving the inclusion of the Daft Punk music that accompanies this trailer, but where it really shines is with the comedy. I think that there’s a lot of great situations to be had with Ralph and Vanellope in both being stuck in the fish out of water position.

Ralph Breaks The Internet Gets Another Solid Trailer

  • Cinelinx
The Wreck-It Ralph sequel received a brand new trailer today, showing off more Easter eggs and a hilarious encounter with Disney's Princesses. Come inside to check it out!

Can you believe it's been six years since Wreck-It Ralph hit theaters? It remains one of my favorite modern Disney flicks and what we've seen of the sequel looks promising. Today's new trailer still may not offer much in the way of what the overall story will bring, but that doesn't stop it from being hilarious:

Stormtroopers chasing Vanellope, Iron Man zooming by, All the Disney Princesses gathered together, and so many other things going on in the background...I'm well and truly sold. Visually, Ralph Breaks the Internet is stepping everything up in a big way, and each scene in this trailer feels packed with visual information to pick apart. While most of the cameos are going to be fun

12 Movie Reboots With Gender-Swapped Leads, From ‘His Girl Friday’ to ‘Ocean’s 8’ (Photos)
From lady “Ghostbusters” to talk of a female James Bond, Hollywood has taken a shine to remaking classic movies or TV shows with gender-swapped leads as a way of mixing up a tried and true formula. But the trend dates back farther than to just the last few years. The latest example of this is “Overboard” opening Friday, which swaps out Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell for Eugenio Derbez and Anna Faris. But here are some other movies that looked to remake something old with not just a fresh face but from an entirely different point of view.

His Girl Friday” (1940)

Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell move a mile a minute and have a natural chemistry as reporters Walter Burns and Hildy Johnson in Howard Hawks’s screwball comedy classic “His Girl Friday.” But missing from its source material, both the play and the movie “The Front Page” by playwright Ben Hecht,

"What kind of a princess are you?" Disney has debuted a full-length official trailer for the animated sequel Wreck-It Ralph 2, titled in full Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2. This is the latest big movie from Disney Animation in Burbank, and it looks like so much fun, of course. John C. Reilly returns as the voice of Ralph, the "bad guy" who is really a good guy, from the first Wreck-It Ralph released in 2012. This time he follows Vanellope, voiced again by Sarah Silverman, into the internet and there they meet the "netizens", getting in all kinds of trouble and, as the title says, they wind up breaking the internet. The full cast features Taraji P. Henson, Kelly Macdonald, Kristen Bell, Mandy Moore, Alan Tudyk, Jane Lynch, Idina Menzel, Jack McBrayer, and Jodi Benson. Disney princesses and annoying search engine auto-fills highlight the latest trailer for Wreck-It Ralph 2, which follows the animated film's wide-eyed protagonist (John C. Reilly) and friend Vanellope von Schweetz (Sarah Silverman) as they navigate the Internet as a hectic digital metropolis.

The clip opens with Ralph waking up Vanellope via nonsensical commands ("Start churning butter and put on your church shoes, little sister, because we're about to blast off!") before they travel through the newly installed Wi-Fi router in Litwak's Arcade to reach the web. The duo gaze out at

New Wreck-It Ralph 2 Trailer Parties with Disney Princesses

New Wreck-It Ralph 2 Trailer Parties with Disney Princesses
The new trailer for Wreck-It Ralph 2 is here and it puts more focus on Sarah Silverman's Vanellope von Schweetz this time around. John C. Reilly's titular character is shown off quite a bit along with some new characters, but Vanellope steals the show when she meets up with all of the Disney Princesses, who seem to be more than a little bitter. This is the same footage that fans were shown at the D23 Expo last summer and proved to be pretty popular, especially when all of the surviving voices of the Disney Princesses appeared on stage together.

In the new trailer for Ralph Breaks the Internet, Vanellope along with her best friend Ralph, venture into the world of the internet through an ethernet cable in the Litwak's Video Arcade. There's many good scenes in the new footage, but the best has to be when Vanellope finds herself

‘Wreck-It Ralph 2’ Trailer: John C. Reilly’s Lovable Brute Continues to Wreck Things, Be Named Ralph — Watch

‘Wreck-It Ralph 2’ Trailer: John C. Reilly’s Lovable Brute Continues to Wreck Things, Be Named Ralph — Watch
John C. Reilly has come here to chew bubblegum and wreck things, and he’s all out of gum. Disney has released the new trailer for “Wreck-It Ralph 2: Ralph Breaks the Internet,” which finds him taking on a new frontier: the world wide web, also known among the kids these days as the information superhighway. This being 2018, his journey presumably includes an abundance of memes, paywalls, and alt-right trolls. Fun for the whole family!

In what appears to be an unironic version of “Silicon Valley’s” opening credits, this new movie features a megacity populated by Internet brands: Amazon, Facebook, Snapchat, and something called Carvana all there, surely not to mine Ralph’s data for personal profit but rather to show him how upstanding their corporate cultures are. “This is the most beautiful miracle I’ve ever seen,” says a small child voiced by Sarah Silverman as she gazes upon its glory.

Gal Gadot (‘Wonder Woman’) could become the first female superhero to win Best Hero at the MTV Movie and TV Awards

The MTV Movie and TV Awards first handed out the award for Best Hero in 2006, and then brought the category back in 2012 and every year since. It was exclusively a boys club for most of that time, but women have won for the last two years in a row, and now there might be a third: Gal Gadot, who currently leads our predictions with 8/13 odds for playing the title role in “Wonder Woman.” She would be the first female comic-book hero ever to win the award.

But it’s not like there have been a wealth of female superhero movies to reward over the years. “Wonder Woman” broke the glass ceiling when it was released in 2017 to critical acclaim and huge box office totals ($821 million worldwide). Before that female comic book characters were relegated to ensemble movies and didn’t get to headline their own films: Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) in the “Avengers” movies,
