Anne Helm(I)
- Actress
Born in Toronto, Anne Helm's entire Canadian "show biz" career
consisted of playing "Alice in Wonderland" at camp and acting in a
Christmas pantomime at Montreal's Her Majesty's Theatre. When she was
14, she and her mother relocated to New York, where Helm studied ballet
and began modeling for
John Robert Powers. The title role in
a
Shirley Temple's Storybook (1958)
TV production of "The Sleeping Beauty" lured her to the West Coast,
where she landed roles in a succession of subsequent feature films and
TV series (and was briefly Elvis Presley's
main squeeze--on-screen and off). More recently billing herself as
"Annie Helm", she is also a writer and illustrator of children's books.
