Olive Films to Release The Monster Squad and Night of the Demons 2 on Blu-ray/DVD

On February 19th, Olive Films will release new Blu-ray versions of Night of the Demons 2 and The Monster Squad. At this time, bonus features have not been finalized, but we do have the cover art and initial release details.

The Monster Squad: Count Dracula has until midnight to retrieve an ancient amulet that will give him final control over the delicate balance between good and evil in the world. To help him, the creepy Count calls on some old friends: the weird Wolfman, grotesque Gill-Man, mildewed Mummy and freaky Frankenstein. As the ghoulish group gets closer to the amulet, it’s up to The Monster Squad, headquartered in the local tree house, to pool its questionable resources and stop the monster mayhem! Directed by Fred Dekker and starring Andre Gower, Robby Kiger and Stephen Macht.

Vivica A. Fox, Joelle Carter, and Ross McCall To Star In ‘It’s Not You, It’s Me’

There are many, many lines you never want to hear when someone ends a relationship — “it’s not you, it’s me” is probably in the top 3. But, as we’ve seen in the past with movies revolving around doomed relationships, they tend to make a lot of money. Variety has just reported that Vivica A. Fox, Joelle Carter, and Ross McCall have been hired to lead the indie relationship comedy, titled — well, you know — It’s Not You, It’s Me.

Screenwriter Nathan Ives is making his directorial debut, helming a comedy that tells the story of “a thirty-something commitment-phobe who breaks up with the love of his life thanks to conflicting advice from his outrageous, inner voices — and says the only thing he can think of to soften the blow: ‘It’s not you, it’s me.’” Carter (Justified) will be playing the role of the ex-girlfriend, whose

TV Casting Couch: Brian Austin Green, Matt Dillion, John Corbitt, Harold Perrineau

According to Deadline, John Corbitt will join Parenthood for an arc as the deadbeat dad/musician ex-husband of Lauren Graham’s Sarah on ‘Parenthood. ‘Corbett’s character, Seth, will pay a visit to the Braverman clan while he’s in town to play some shows with his band. Corbett’s first appearance is scheduled to air in March. ’Sons of Anarchy’ actor Darin Heames played Seth in the pilot. Corbett is best known right now as the loving, all-American dad on ‘The United States of Tara’.

In other family comedy news, Matt Dillion, will be guest starring on ‘Modern Family’ as Claire’s ex-boyfriend. Dillon will show up as the new boyfriend of Claire’s mom, DeDe. [EW]

John Corbett to Recur on Parenthood

John Corbett has nabbed a recurring role on Parenthood.

The United State of Tara star will appear on the second half of this season as Seth, Sarah's estranged ex-husband and the father of Amber and Drew.

This character has not appeared since the pilot, where he was portrayed by Darin Heames.

When Corbett returns as the musician, he'll be in town to perform a few shows with his band. His arrival will coincide with Parenthood's move to Monday nights in March.

John Corbett joins 'Parenthood'; 'Bones' actor heads to 'Hawaii Five-0'

You'll see Sarah's ex on "Parenthood" in 2011, and he'll look a lot like John Corbett. The "United States of Tara" star will have a recurring part on the NBC show as Sarah's (Lauren Graham) screwup of an ex-husband, who hasn't been seen since the show's pilot (and who was played by Darin Heames at the time). Occasional "Bones" squint and "Avatar" co-star Joel David Moore will guest on an episode of "Hawaii Five-0" in the new year. He'll play the deputy director of a tsunami tracking center whom the team calls on in a crisis. [Movieline]

The final episode of "Larry King Live" drew 2.24 million viewers on Thursday night (Dec. 16). That's way above its typical audience and led the cable-news race for its timeslot. [CNN]
