Gordon Hayman(1939-2024)

Gordon Hayman was born on 7 March 1939 and joined the film industry in 1957. His first job was as a loader for Gilbert Taylor on Ice Cold In Alex.The job also required him to print and develop test rolls. Because the person that should have gone on the film couldn't, Taylor asked Hayman, who lived next door. Hayman was a keen stills photographer,and jumped at the chance. He went on to become a focus puller and camera operator. He has worked on a number of commercials and worked at the ABPC in Elstree before going freelance. He did a lot of work with the late Freddie Francis and has operated for Nicolas Roeg.
