Patricia Hayes was born on December 22, 1909 in Wandsworth, London, England as Patricia Lawlor Hayes. She is known for her work on Willow (1988), The NeverEnding Story (1984) and A Fish Called Wanda (1988). She was married to Valentine Rooke. She died on September 19, 1998 in Puttenham, Surrey, England.

She was the mother of actor Richard O'Callaghan and two daughters, Gemma and Teresa.
She was awarded an OBE (Officer of the Order of British Empire) in the 1988 Queen's New Year Honours List for her services to drama.
Devoutly Roman Catholic, Patricia Hayes headed the Catholic Actors Guild in Britain for a number of years.
She attended Sacred Heart school in Wandsworth, London.
Said in an interview with Radio Times, in 1988, that she had turned down a cameo role in Doctor Who (1963).
