- He personally put up 200 hundred thousand dollars to finance the movie Rat Fink (1965). His starring role in that movie was lauded by Variety, who called him "one of the best hunks of acting by an unknown actor to be viewed in years." Sadly, he only made one other picture, Riot on Sunset Strip (1967) before he was killed in a plane crash in San Diego, California.
