'Battle of the Damned' hackneyed zombie film with no flesh (Ians Review)

'Battle of the Damned' hackneyed zombie film with no flesh (Ians Review)
Film: "Battle of the Damned"; Cast: Dolph Lundgren, Melanie Zanetti, Matt Doran, Jen Sung Outerbridge, Lydia Look, Oda Maria, Esteban Cueto, David Field; Director: Christopher Hatton; Rating: *

To watch "Battle of the Damned" is like rotting in hell with zombies, killer robots, obtuse-damned survivors and an overdose of innate absurdity that is prevalent in the film.

The film begins with a 15-minute prologue that seems to be detached from the film. It is revealed that Army Major Max Gatling (Dolph Lundgren) is dispatched by a desperate rich and influential man, head of a biotech company, to rescue his daughter Jude (Melanie Zanetti) from a zombie-infested city.

No sooner has Jude's father delivered the necessary.

A Call to Arms with Battle of the Damned: A Movie Review

Director/writer: Christopher Hatton. Cast: Dolph Lundgren, Melanie Zanetti, Matt Doran, David Field and Jen Sung. Battle of the Damned is an indie actioner from Bleiberg Entertainment. This viewer knows Bleiberg more from its acquisition and sales in film. However, this company's action production arm, Compound B, has brought together a memorable outing in their latest collabortion. A throwback to action films of the late '80s and early '90s, Battle of the Damned places actor Dolph Lundgren as Max Gatling in the middle of an environmental disaster. This title focuses on violent action and a few characters, with the film delivering some light entertainment. Battle of the Damned is an indie action film of note and fans of strong heroes with few lines will enjoy this straight-to-video outing. It is all about the rescue. The central character Max is tasked with infiltrating a walled off city, in Thailand.

DVD Review - Battle of the Damned (2013)

Battle of the Damned, 2013.

Written and Directed by Christopher Hatton.

Starring Dolph Lundgren, Melanie Zanetti, Matt Doran, David Field and Jen Sung.

Synopsis:

Following a deadly viral outbreak, private military soldier Max Gatling leads a handful of survivors and a ragtag band of robots against an army of the infected.

Some films just have a synopsis that jumps out, slaps you in the face and forcibly drags you helplessly to whichever venue it is playing at, whether big screen, or small screen. One such film, for me, is Battle of the Damned. Take a name. Let’s say, Dolph Lundgren. Then throw the word Zombies in. On top of that throw in the word Robots. Dolph Lundgren, zombies and robots. It’s almost musical the way it rolls off the tongue.

Dolph has been a busy man in the last year, following Expendables 2. He’s mixed some very solid straight

‘Battle of the Damned’ Review

Stars: Dolph Lundgren, Melanie Zanetti, Matt Doran, David Field, Jen Sung, Lydia Look, Oda Maria, Esteban Cueto, Broadus Mattison | Written and Directed by Christopher Hatton

As fans of action movies we have to sit through some truly horrible movies just to enjoy the scenes where a big action hero makes his appearance and makes some smart assed comment. This is what I thought I’d be getting with Battle of the Damned. The thing is though, when you put Dolph Lundgren, robots and some questionable zombies together you actually get quite a good movie!

When a city is destroyed by a deadly viral outbreak it is shut off from the outside world. A few survivors hold up in the city, one of them being Jude (Melanie Zanetti) the daughter of the man who created the virus that now traps her. To save the girl Max Gatling (Dolph Lundgren) is hired
