His shop was located in and took up half of the space of Shirley's Antiques on Topanga Canyon Blvd. just south of Ventura Blvd. in Woodland Hills, CA. He suffered a stroke, then died about a year later from heart failure. He collected first editions of Mark Twain and was survived by his son.
