Trivia:

As a grip in a production at Disney World, Richard walked up to president of Walt Disney Pictures Jeffrey Katzenberg and pitched him a screenplay based on the Haunted Mansion ride at Disney World, which Richard once worked at. Katzenberg loved the pitch and requested the script be sent to his Burbank office. Disney went on to create the movie starring Eddie Murphy.
