Dieter Hallervorden was born on September 5, 1935 in Dessau, Germany. He is an actor and writer, known for Nonstop Nonsens (1975), Back on Track (2013) and Head Full of Honey (2014).

Runs the "Die Wühlmäuse", a place for stand-up and political comedians in Berlin, Germany.
Has three children: Dieter Hallervorden Jr. (b. 1963) and Nathalie Hallervorden (b. 1966), with Rotraud Schindler; and Johannes Hallervorden (b. 1998), with Elena Blume.
Purchased a castle in France, the Château de Costaérès, where he moved with his second wife to live.
After having problems with the communist regime, he fled East Germany in 1958.
Although being a respected TV actor and cabaret artist for decades, he is still best known for playing chaotic and annoying slapstick characters on Nonstop Nonsens (1975) and Die Didi-Show (1989).
There are reports that he had another daughter, Laura Maria Heid (b. 1990), with Maria Heid; but Hallervorden gives the number of his children with three.
