Guardians Director Wishes Stan Lee Well After Elder Abuse Claims

Guardians Director Wishes Stan Lee Well After Elder Abuse Claims
2018 has been a pretty rough year for Stan Lee and recent stories have been becoming more bizarre by the day. After another particularly weird week for the comic book legend, Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn took to social media to wish Lee well. Gunn has joined a number of Marvel fans who have wished Stan Lee well over the course of the last few weeks. Director Kevin Smith even invited Lee to come live with him.

Last weekend, Marvel fans who attended the Silicon Valley Comic Con expressed their concern with Stan Lee's health after he appeared to be very tired and out of it at the event. Videos and pictures from the event clearly show a different version of the 95-year old than we're used to seeing. Fans accused his handlers of elder abuse and using Lee for money. To make matters worse, a new report surfaced

Guardians Of The Galaxy’s James Gunn Offers Support For Stan Lee

You might assume that the life of a 95-year-old would be relatively sedate. Not so for Marvel Comics icon Stan Lee, who has spent the last year embroiled in a variety of worrying stories.

They range from the Lapd being called to his house to investigate a complaint of elder abuse, reports of money being siphoned from his personal bank account without his permission, conspiracies involving his daughter’s inheritance being stolen from her by con-artists and, just the other week, a truly bizarre story involving Lee’s blood being stolen in order to create a special ink to sign comics with.

Amidst all this, Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn has now stepped up to offer whatever support Lee needs, saying the following on Instagram:

My heart is with @therealstanlee right now. I hope he’s okay. I’ve heard a lot of disturbing reports lately about

Mbaku Becomes an Avenger in New Infinity War TV Spot

Mbaku Becomes an Avenger in New Infinity War TV Spot
The latest Avengers: Infinity War sneak peek shows Black Panther breakout Mbaku joining the Avengers to fight Thanos. It also has a very deep-voiced Thor confronting the Guardians of the Galaxy, seeking their help for this galaxy wide threat.

Thor, or "God Man," as Drax the Destroyer likes to call him, is a pretty big dude and it seems that Star-Lord might have a bit of an inferiority complex going on in the new Avengers: Infinity War TV spot that was just released. While the Russo Brothers and Marvel Studios kept a pretty tight lid on any footage from the highly anticipated movie for so long, the promotional campaign is in full swing, with new clips released almost daily now, featuring bits of new scenes to stoke the hype train. As per usual, the new TV spot is made up of old footage mixed with new scenes and dialogue.

Zoe Saldana Rips Into Marvel Sell Out Accusations

Zoe Saldana Rips Into Marvel Sell Out Accusations
Don't accuse Zoe Saldana of selling out for taking roles in movies like Guardians of the Galaxy or Avatar, because she strongly disagrees with that sentiment. Comic book movies have become the biggest of the big when it comes to Hollywood movies. As such, quite a few talented actors have taken roles in major franchises over the course of the last decade or so. Some view that as selling out, to some degree, but in a recent interview Saldana tore apart that notion and demonstrated her passion for her work, while also sharing respect for her superhero movie co-stars. Here's what she had to say.

"I've been in rooms with people in this industry who are great at what they do, but they're absolutely elitist and they look down at movies like the Marvel films or actors like myself. They think we're selling out in some way. Every time they

Thanos Has the Soul Stone in Latest Infinity War TV Spot

Thanos appears to have the Soul Stone in the latest TV spot for Infinity War. The scene is very brief, but it certainly looks like the Mad Titan has the mysterious stone that Marvel fans have been speculating about. Most of the promotional material for the latest Avengers adventure has shown the Infinity Gauntlet with 2 or 3 of the Infinity Stones, making the rest of them a detective mission for impatient fans.

First off, you can't see the whole frame in the YouTube version of the trailer. Instead, you have to watch the Twitter version where the shot is visible at the 24-second mark. You can clearly see that there's an orange stone in the Infinity Gauntlet when Thanos appears in Wakanda. The first stone that we've all seen is the purple Power Stone, which was seen in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1 when it was in the Orb. It has

Infinity War Cast Is Not Allowed to Watch Finished Movie Yet

Infinity War Cast Is Not Allowed to Watch Finished Movie Yet
Avengers: Infinity War is only a few weeks away from hitting theaters and as a special promotion, members of the cast and crew are holding screenings around the world where they play the first 30 minutes of this latest Marvel adventure. As it turns out, not even the cast has been permitted to see Infinity War in all of its entirety, according to Tom Hiddleston, Tom Holland, and Benedict Cumberbatch. They all have to wait until the world premiere, which is only a few days before fans get to see it.

In a new interview, Tom Hiddleston, Tom Holland, and Benedict Cumberbatch revealed that last night's special Infinity War screening in London was the most of the movie that they've ever seen. When asked how the screening went, Cumberbatch said that it was quite extraordinary. The actor went on to say that they were fans just as much as the Marvel fans in attendance.

Watch: Star-Lord Gets His Own Avengers: Infinity War Promo

Now that Avengers: Infinity War is mere days away, all of Marvel’s major characters are getting their own 15 minutes of fame.

Case in point: today’s brand new promo for Infinity War (see above), which shifts the focus over to Star-Prince Star-Lord, Chris Pratt’s McU veteran who walks the line between Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and the Guardians of the Galaxy.

He is, essentially, the quintessential space cowboy; a character whose charisma and cockiness far exceeds his intelligence. But as James Gunn’s Guardians movies attest, Peter Quill isn’t entirely human – he is the descendant of Ego, the Living Planet, after all. Such an ancient bloodline is enough to imbue Quill with strange, supernatural abilities, so we’re intrigued to find out whether those same powers will factor into the story of Infinity War and its so-far untitled sequel.

Feast thy eyes:

Then again, we know Star-Lord

New Avengers: Infinity War Reaction Calls It One Hell Of A Trip

While the official review embargo has been locked in for Tuesday, April 24th, various members of the press were treated to an advanced, 30-minute screening of Avengers: Infinity War recently and as expected, initial reactions to what was shown are starting to pour out – with all of them being very positive.

Already, we’ve seen praise showered on the scale, the scope and what’s sure to be some absolutely epic action. Now, that continues, with the below Tweet pointing out Infinity War‘s humor, which apparently Joe and Anthony Russo have nailed, while also calling it “one hell of a trip” (which we’re sure it is).

See for yourself below:

Just saw 25 mins of #AvengersInfinityWar. Can’t say much, but it was one hell of a trip seeing Marvel characters from all corners of the universe crossing paths. So much potential for humour, and the @Russo_Brothers milked it for every penny.
